The Skinny: This DVD may have been one of the most highly anticipated releases in the annals of gravure idols. After the disappointments of the last two Miyabi Isshiki videos directed by the unrepentant and talent challenged Momow, many of us wanted this Miyabi release to come up Aces. Well breathe easy my brethren – This one is Miyabi at her best.

The Skinny: First, let me thank reader and colleague Argyle1968 for sending me the DVD. He’s already reviewed it here at the Asian Beauty Appreciation blog. You’ll find his review to be lively, informative, and entertaining. As it turns out, the lovely Ms Yamada Momoka is well suited as a model for Tits-Japan/Gas Web. Her very large breasts fit right in for the specialty niche market that Gas-Web has chosen. This DVD has no nudity and no sex whatsoever, so Gas-Web has created a new label Tits-Japan for products like these. (more…)

The Skinny: This is a multi-talented woman with a bevy of idol DVDs already on the market as well as being an actress with some movie credits on her resume. Momoko Tani is above average in height but still looks leggy as if she was taller, and she’s quite beautiful. This will be her first appearance on my pages.
Fresh Eye begins with a 2:30 montage which sparkles with one excellent sequence after another. I knew from the montage that this DVD would provide us with some excellent images for the review. The first couple of scenes are similar in structure and style even though they’re in disparate locations. The first begins out by the pool of the resort. Momoko is in the shade and behind her is bright sunlight which causes a problem. By opening up his lens, and posing her with the sunlight area behind her, the director has created a shot where the background is almost washed out. So he reverses and stands with his back to the sun. Only he has her doing nothing but laying on the floor. (more…)

The Skinny: This is Hana Haruna’s 5th release this year and her first for Saibunkan. In fact this will be only the 5th review that I’ve done for a Saibunkan release. The previous four were Fuko in Kyo-P, Mizuki Horii in Biiku, Kana Tsugihara in Irodori, and Miho Ishii in M-Style. As this release, Purun 2, had been highly anticipated, let’s get right to it.
The fine montage runs 2:25 leading to the 1st of the main chapters with Hana riding a bicycle through the country side. She pedals on a country lane past some rice paddies. Eventually she reaches a point overlooking the beach. She whips out a recorder (like a small wooden pipe) and starts playing.
It is bad enough to make you want to turn off the audio, but on the bright side it isn’t all that long. But there’s a major problem – after the audio track makes it normal start – about a minute and half later it re-starts. So for awhile, we hear two tracks of Hana talking as well as the awful recoder overlapped and repeated. Some how this is corrected (I think) because when Hana discards her school uniform to romp around on the beach – there’s only a normal stereo music track. (more…)

The Skinny: After watching and reviewing Minami Matsuzaka’s three earlier DVDs: L-Cup 115, Juicy Fruit Vol. 1, and Juicy Fruit Vol. 2 - I feel that there’s been an easy to discern pattern to her work, and it can be described quite simply. She’s going to need to resort to a ‘hand bra’ most of the time. Said another way – Minami is more than happy to remove her shirt, her bikini, and/or her bra whenever she’s been asked to do so. Let’s see if the pattern holds true in her latest DVD from Takeshobo. The title is 115L no Chohatsu.
Rio Natsume – Lingerie na J (September 20th, 2009)

The Skinny: Seems like I hardly know where to start. Maybe I should continue where I left off in the last Rio Natsume reviews because even though this video is from I-One and the last two were from Air Control, all of them were shot at the same resort. Rio & the JWB Resort in Cebu, it’s becoming redundant. This seems to be her favorite destination, but I think it’s time for a change. I wonder if the Idol and her agency are calling the shots about the where – and the studio decides the when. While you ponder that for all of a second or two, I’ll launch this review. (more…)

The Skinny: Even as my copy of this DVD was on the truck rolling towards my home, after departing Tokyo and making stops in Anchorage, Alaska, then Memphis, Tennessee, before arriving in my city, cdjapan had already put up a “Temporarily Out of Stock” notice on their page for this DVD. To me, this means that the pre-release orders for Rui Kiriyama’s newest video called Rui Rouge, had completely sold out and they had no stock left all within a day or so of its release. (more…)
