Erika Yazawa aka Eri Tanizawa – Final (December 18th, 2010)

The Skinny: She’s real cute. She’s busty. She’s a lot of fun. Is there anything else to want and hope for in a idol DVD? Not really. If you have those three ‘necessities’ – you’re in business.

I’m not sure why the title is called Final as I’ve not seen this model before now. I couldn’t say if ‘Final’ means finale as in last video, or it means that Yazawa/Tanizawa is changing teams and heading over to the dark side otherwise known as AV or Adult Video. I’m also not able to tell you why this DVD calls the model Erika Yazawa on the cover but she is listed as Eri Tanizawa on the translated Japanese sites. Either way, we join her while she is visiting Koh Samui in Thailand. This isn’t Phuket, nor is it Pattaya. But it is an island.

For the review, we have vid-caps grabbed right from the scenes, or we will utilize some of the very attractive stills from the slide show. This is a win/win for you. As we ‘ve seen in so many of these gravure videos – they open the video with Erika in a school uniform.

It’s a pretty standard uniform which we’ve all seen before – a white blouse and tie, navy skirt, knee socks and loafers. But unlike all the others, this is the first time I’ve the model proceed, after removing her shoes and socks, to go right into the ocean with her uniform on. After a bit she’ll remove the uniform to reveal a bikini.

The second chapter starts and ends in bed. Erika will mostly roll around in the bed. Her actions here are almost the same as we saw in the opening chapter. Only she’s rolling in bed instead of the sand.

Three finds us back on the beach. The scene opens with Erika bringing a surfboard into the sea and paddling out while atop it. She does stand up on the board, but it is pretend surfing. Because when we see her standing we don’t see the water. But it is fun. Soon enough she’s going to take off the orange surfing tee shirt to reveal a tequila sunrise colored bikini.

Four is a shower/bath scene. Erika wears a revealing navy bikini. She showers and soaps and the shower becomes a bath. The tub is strewn with flower petals.

Five has Erika in a dress. This is the first and only dress we shall see throughout the entire video. The dress is ruffled, backless, and allows a good amount of cleavage to be displayed. She will climb up some steps then pose prettily before a window-less door. We see her from both sides of this door as in inside and outside. Soon, Erika will wander out into the garden.

They also took photos of Erika wearing this dress on a rooftop.There’s not a lot of action or movement in this chapter, but there are some nice close-ups of her face.

Six is a short scene. Erika is out looking around in one of those Thai street-markets. She looks at some clothes, and some fruit. But she doesn’t buy anything or even talk or encounter any of the locals. Basically this is just a walk through.

Seven is an exercise chapter. Jump rope and hula hoop are the props and the activities. This is not a particularly pleasing chapter but it does show us that Erika is both agile and quick on her feet, as well as possessing some capabilities as an athlete. She definitely does NOT look clutzy or clumsy.

Eight is back inside. Erika wears a white zippered hoodie over a pink, white, and yellow striped bikini. After posing with lots of smiles to open the chapter, she then starts to apply a creamy lotion to her body starting with her legs. But the lotion aspect soon ends and it is just basic posing.

In the 9th Chapter, a swimming pool is the location. Erika is in a bikini and she will use an inflated plastic ring to float around on. The camera works both above and below the surface.

Ten has us back on the beach with Erika. She’s starts off wearing jeans and a blue and white floral patterned top. But soon she finds the rock jetty and off come the outer clothes. What remains is a beautiful bikini. I think this is the best looking (and fitting) bikini that we’ve seen in this DVD.

Eleven is a sunset scene on the beach. Erika wears a black bikini. Because this scene is shot lat in the afternoon it actually looks better than any of the previous beach settings. There’s simply more to see. In the earlier chapters the whiteness factor overpowered the settings, yielding an overly bright and overly white look to the chapters. Unfortunately, despite the late afternoon timing, we don’t get to see an actual sunset. This is the last of the main chapters as the credit roll next.

There’s a bonus chapter that runs about 8 minutes. First Erika walks through the town answering questions. She’s dressed in her school uniform, or a the white top and short skirt, or the blue floral print top.

The rest of this bonus chapter consists of some outtakes from the earlier chapters and some behind the scenes from some of the photo shoots which will no doubt end up in some magazines and or a photo-book. There’s also a tremendous slide show, which is btw, easily the best one I’ve seen in all the videos I’ve reviewed. Kudos to Hiroyuki Sato, the photographer, as well as the producers for this slide show which shows us more than a hundred images, divided into 12 sets or chapters  and each has its own music.  These images which provide you with some superb views of the model, some are from the scenes we saw in the motion video, as well as some that are strictly from the photo shoot segments.

Summary: Erika Yazawa is a very photogenic and vivacious model. While the camera work was relatively conservative – there’s not even a thought of any kind of digital gimmicks in this DVD – they did a great job of capturing this high spirited and impressive model on video for us and quite simply, this DVD is a delightful viewing experience. I’ll give this DVD a four point two five rating as well as a hearty recommendation.

[Edit: Per reader Xater, the full title is Final Teen, and her correct name is Yazawa. Reader Nanashi confirms the Yazawa name and also says the kanji characters on the DVD cover can be read/interpreted to mean something additional – yazapai – and this is a combination of a short form of her name Yaza and oppai which means boobs.
