The Skinny: I was pleased to find out that Anri Sugihara is from Hiroshima which means that the scouts and agents are not limiting their hunt for talent to just Tokyo. But I was actually shocked to find out that Anri was born in 1982 making her 28 years old. Which is far above the norm for most gravure models.

So much for the biographical data. This is a DVD review, not Anri’s CV. Once again Anri has been given a plum location – Bali. It seems that only the top drawer models get Bali these days. Others go to Okinawa, or Saipan, or even Guam. Or maybe it just depends on budgets and schedules.

Before the montage we meet Anri who appears to be a doctor offering aid to us. She’s wearing a long white doctors coat over a pink sweater, has a stethoscope, and wears eye glasses, so she looks the part except for the fact that she is working on a lollipop. After a few minutes of what is supposed to pass as doctor-patient stuff, the montage launches. Following the montage, the Doctor scene resumes.

Or rather, Anri appears in the same white lab coat and pink sweater and gray skirt, but you know what’s going to follow. Yep, Anri is going to slowly and delightfully remove her outer clothing leaving her in undies and stockings. She will still have the lollipop, but will also use a thermometer as a prop.

The next scene has Anri wearing a loose fitting and deeply cut bed jacket over panties and stockings. We are in bed and Anri crawls in and works hard to wake us up. She’ll go through the motions of some waterless and tooth-paste free tooth brushing. But before long she will get down to some serious glamor posing.

Chapter Three has Anri poolside in a yellow bikini. Most of this chapter has Anri using the umbrella’s pole as a prop. But she will eventually sit down on a lounger and apply some ice water to herself but not the way you expect. She doesn’t pour the water over her body; instead she pours a small amount into her hands then pats it on.

Four is a gorgeous bath scene. This is one of those sun-drenched bathrooms with plenty of plants and sunlight. Anri greets us and asks us in, but then warns us not to get too close. But we are driven to a single purpose. With a soapy brush we ‘apply’ the soap. Plenty of boob poking and jiggling occur. Seems like fun. And if Anri ever decides to invite me into her bath, I’d like to try it out.

Five finds Anri out on the lanai. It is a beautiful setting. Anri wears a long sleeve tee-shirt, blue panties, and delightful white stockings with a heart pattern. She’s going to spend this chapter applying some body lotion. But soon, she’s going to dispense with the lotion and get back to basics which means more great posing.

We are back by the pool for the Sixth chapter. There’s Anri in a bikini doing some aerobics. This is kind of brief. Not even even enough time to get warm much less bring on a sweat. So much for the stretching.

Then she will play with one of those big beach balls. Not as in throwing and catching. More like she will use the ball as a body prop. You know, to show off her boobs as in the image to the left.

There’s a 3rd part to this scene where Anri works on a popsicle. We’ve now had two scenes at or near the pool and Anri has still not actually been in the pool.

Seven has Anri in a white lace body suit over a white bra and panties. Besides moving and posing with a series of stretches, Anri’s other job in the chapter will be to rip gaping holes into this lacy body stocking. In an interesting change of pace, Anri also sports a wig for this scene.

In the Eighth stanza, Anri will work with a smaller beach ball. At first she’ll just use her feet. The she removes her shirt leaving her in just a bikini bra. She’ll jog then use the ball to sit on and bounce.

The next to last chapter has Anri in a black wrap swimsuit. I’m sure she won’t be swimming in this creation, nor would any woman. But it does look god on her, and the series of poses are very good.

Ten is the last chapter. Anri wears a frilly, lacy bustier, panties, and stockings plus shoes. This scene is set in a bedroom and Anri plays the sexy card as well as she can. In the first half of this chapter, Anri will appear exuberant with lots of smiles. But towards the end, she has been asked to get sleepy, and as the chapter ends, ‘apparently’ she falls asleep. I thought this was kind of a week ending to what had been a stellar DVD.

The Bonus Chapter has additional footage from some of the earlier chapters, then a few moments of Anri saying thanks to the crew for all their hard work. Then it is a bye-bye wave to us.

Summary: Anri continues to appear in well made glamorous DVDs. Whether you prefer her super stacked body or her beguiling and wonderful smiles, she finds a way to make all of her scenes enjoyable as well as sexy.

Anri doesn’t need to take off her top, or employ the hand-bra, or even make believe she’s having sex in her DVDs. Yet, they’re a delight to watch.

Right now I am surprised that Anri hasn’t made the leap into regular TV drama series. As we’ve seen over the last few years, she knows how to play to the camera. I hope for more Anri on video. As for this video, I am scoring it at four point five zero. Basically, there’s nothing new in this one, but all of it is very well made. I’ve deducted a half point for that reason (nothing new) and because there was a wee too much of the lacy and frilly for me in this DVD. I like to see the idols in their undies, but a bit more variety would have been nice.
