The Skinny: Once known and loved as Hitomi Kitamura, our model has changed her name to Tama Mizuki. And there is a joke built into that name. According to the Trico website, her name (translated) means Sometimes Mizuki. You can decide for yourself if you think that’s funny.

A lengthy montage (2:49) introduces ‘Sometimes Mizuki’, She may have changed her name but she is still the hippy, busty sweetheart that she’s always been.

You get all the proof you need of my last sentence right in the opening main chapter which is actually Chapter Two. We are situated in doors. It looks like someone’s living room – you know – rattan sofa with a matching side chair, and a coffee table,  She’ll take off her top and small skirt and spend most of this opening chapter in her bra and panties lounging on the sofa or pressing against coffee table top.

Next up we have Mizuki dressed in a brilliantly red silk top. She bra less beneath that top, and her panties are quite skimpy. She works with a few ice cubes as props. Seems like the whole point of the scene is where will the melting drip into. Not a bad idea. But the whole scene has Mizuki standing or kneeling in one place which against a wall with a floral-patterned wallpaper. The light source gives the whole scene a mild reddish glow to it.

The third of the main chapters is Mizuki in a black lace body stocking that is completed with a cat head piece and a cat tail. This costume is fairly revealing (a plus), she wears great shoes (another plus). The scene takes place just outside of the kitchen.

Mizuki as a cat is what we get. Including crawling under the dining table, batting around a couple of tennis balls like a cat might is only a part of the act. She will claw and scratch, and do those cat sounds.

The scene goes terribly wrong when as a cat, she will use her cat tail to try to hit the balls like we do in baseball. You will also have to beware of the opening musical selection for this chapter. In truth it sounds much more like cat screeches than music. Just horrible.

Things do get back on track in the next chapter with Mizuki in a red bikini. The whole scene has a sort of kitschy tone to it as the room has a lot of stuff from the 40′s and 50′s in it. of course a curvy model in a bikini is timeless. You could stick her in a room with any kind of furniture from any period or decade and it wouldn’t matter.

We finally get outdoors in the next chapter. Mizuki wears a blue knit bikini top, and a small blue bikini bottom. We can see a bit of sand, very little in fact, and it looks like a place with some sort of coastal rocks that they have chosen for the location. But nothing happens, Nothing other than Mizuki posing in a very small space.

We are now about 40 minutes and we are back in doors. This time Mizuki wears a yellow bikini. She been asked to pose as in turn and wiggle, turn and bend over, make your boobs jiggle, etc etc. Then lean against the wall and show us your caboose etc etc.

Can you imagine Hitomi Kitamura, sorry, Mizuki Tama dressed as a Polynesian dancing girl complete with the grass skirt, red floral headpiece, and a flower lei around her neck. Of course you can since this is the image on the front cover. Well she looks great; and she’s bra less beneath those flowers. Only they should not have asked her to dance a hula. Once they call a halt to the dancing it is just our busty model looking superb. Easily the best scene in the video, not counting the dancing. But wait – there’s more.

In Part II – the flower lei around her neck has gone away and she now wears some faux coconut shell to cover her breasts. But she’s dancing again. soon enough they call another halt to the dancing. In exchange we get some boob jiggles, and some breast beating (on the coconut shells – sorry faux coconut shells, of course). Despite her inability to pass herself off successfully as a hula dancer, she looks like she was enjoying the scene.

At the 53 minutes mark we get a sudsy bath scene. I guess doing this type of scene is more familiar to Mizuki than doing a hula dance, as she seems to be enjoying herself. You can see it in her facial expressions. She’s much more lively and animated. To me this means quite simply that she was a tad bored in some of the earlier scenes. The only thing missing in this chapter was the bath water.

When this scene ends we are just about at the one hour mark. The credits roll with some still photos beneath the credits. The last 10 minutes will be some behind the scenes and making of footage. I generally like these because you either see the model posing for a still photographer or you see her interacting with the crew. There’s a greater chance of seeing the model more relaxed and being herself in the segments – which means – more natural smiles, joking around with the crew, in short having some fun. But not all the time. She looked kind of pissed when the made her wear that cat (nekko in Japanese) headpiece as it wasn’t easy to get it on straight and look right.

Summary: Okay this one will land in about the middle of the Hitomi/Mizuki portfolio. It’s far from being great, and equally distant from being called a poor video. This is Hitomi Kitamura we are talking about so even when the DVD is less than stellar, you can still find a lot to enjoy.

My thought is that this one was close to being an example from the Gravure Modeling 101 text book. Nothing original, nothing especially creative, and too often the camera lingered too long in one position while the model was changing to another. But as I said – with a model like this, you can enjoy the video in spite of some technical shortcomings. Three point seven five is the score.
