The Skinny: A tip from reader Argyle led me to pick up the first gravure video release of Hikari Asahi. This DVD, from Vega Factory’s Step label, has the unlikely title of Bakunyu Sunrise. The translation of that is Gigantic Tits Sunrise. Besides my confusion over the title,which I erroneously reported as Blast Milk Surprise until the proper title was brought to my attention by frequent contributor Zatoichi… it is, unfortunately, a mixed bag of a video. Great boobs are fun to watch, but a video, even with great boobies, still needs to pay attention to the rest of the production details.

As the video begins, Hikari is in one of those mono-kinis. It is in white, and she’s just on a sofa. Nothing much happens in this 2:47 segment other than having the model untie the suit and drape the loose ends between her legs. What follows next is a short verbal introduction by Hikari about herself and she’s still wearing the same mono-kini and still seated on the same sofa.

After a short fade to black, there’s Hikari typing at a computer keyboard. She’s wearing a white blouse and a dark short skirt. The camera gets in so close that we can see the thickness of her eye glass lenses. She’ll stop typing and immediately begin wiping down the walls. We can hear the sounds of the cloth on the walls as well as the breathing of the cameraman.

Before long, and in somewhat low lighting, she will lift the blouse up to reveal that she is bra-less. For most of the next seven or eight minutes she’ll show off her stockings and with her legs raised, and open, we can see the crotch of her pantie-hose. But that’s all that happens and we see.

Then we have a scene with Hikari in a revealing black leotard doing some stretching exercise. It is a small room, and we see almost none of it. The whole point seems to be that Hikari will show off her cleavage. Once more we can hear the breathing of the cameraman. She does some bouncing while seated on one of those big exercise balls. By the time the scene ends 13 minutes later, we are sure of two things, one – Hikari has a great figure, and two – this is one of the least imaginative videos I’ve ever seen.

Hikari next appears in a white knit top with about six  buttons. It covers the tops of her boobs but exposes the bottoms. She also wears a short light blue skirt. The setting is in a bedroom. Hikari rolls on the bed, shows off her panties, and she crawls on the bed. This is done to show off the underside of her bare and dangling boobs. She will eventually open all the buttons, and cover her boobs with her hands. Fade out but then she’s right back in the same place, only this time with a banana for some oral play which goes on far too long. By the time this scene ends we are almost 36 minutes into the video, and I’ve not yet liked any of the scenes.

Next Hikari is posed in a light blue bikini in front of a yellow wall or backdrop. She’s soaping up. There’s no sign of a regulation bath tub. Instead she is standing in one of those tiny, inflatable, plastic tubs which would be suitable for one child.Somehow, Hikari manages to sit in it. When she leans forward, someone with a brush applies more soap to her back, the sides of her boobs, then her buttocks. Then they get a bit more adventurous. The brush applies soap directly onto her boobs as she sits facing us. But wait, there’s more – the bikini top goes away and we see those mighty boobs covered in just soap. Even though these are magnificent breasts this is a very poor scene visually and made worse by some mind-numbing muzak.

Sadly, the video goes downhill from even that low spot. In the next chapter, Hikari wears a white lace bra and panties. The room is dimly lighted. Hikari will rub her boobs beath the bra, then work on a vanilla ice cream popsicle on a stick. This chapter has no music at all and we hear just the ambient room sounds as well as the sounds made by the camera operator. We watch as Hikari consumes virtually the entire ice cream before she removes the bra. This is easily the worst scene in the entire video. No music, bad lighting, no action and besides that, this scene seemed like it would never end.

Ear of corn, a large mushroom, and ???

In the next chapter, we have Hikari in a black dress. She’s asked her to put on a blindfold and play a game. The game is that certain objects would be lightly pressed against her, and she would have to guess what they were – a corn cob, a carrot, a large mushroom, then an object that I can’t name even though I am seeing it. Of course this scene is boring too. But there’s even more silliness. The blindfold is removed and Hikari stands with her hands on her head slightly turning side to side  while two people with miniature hands at the end of flexible rods, poke and prod her. Then they double up and they each hold two feather like objects and they continue to poke, prod, tease and tickle her.

Next Hikari in a yellow bikini sits on a black leather chair. A clear gooey gel is dripped onto her cleavage. She proceeds to rub it in both over and under her bikini top. Then without even a fade, she suddenly back in that child’s plastic ‘pool’. I think we are supposed to believe that she is tied up. The camera moves around as water is spritzed onto her body. She is completely passive as this happens. We don’t even get to hear her laugh as this scene does have a music track.

The credits roll at the 80 minute mark, leaving 13 more minutes. Which is spent with Hikari having a massage. Her breasts and butt get plenty of attention. Finally, Hikari tells us the massage has made her feel very good. And the video ends.

Summary: Hikari is a nice looking model with a great shape. Emphasis on great shape. But this is easily one of the poorest gravure videos I’ve ever watched.. I’d bet the budget for the entire production was quite low as this video was devoid of production values. All indoors, bad music, and inexpensive sets are bad enough, but when you add in a total lack of imagination and creative skills, you’re going to end up with a bad video. But there is a bright side. This was her first gravure video, and even though it wasn’t much to speak of, Hikari did go on to make a much better video called Peach Bomb. That one you can enjoy, but this one – the rating is just a Two point zero and definitely not recommended.
