The Skinny: This is a relatively new model with one other title on her resume. To be honest, based on size, she has to placed in the same category as Miyabi Isshiki.

Of course there are differences, but I definitely feel that Hikari Asahi will be heard from again in the form of more DVDs.

The first chapter following the two and half minute montage is a beach scene. Hikari wears a bold blue bikini. It is deeply cut and show off a lot of cleavage. Hikari runs briefly at the beginning of the chapter. She spends a lot time holding her boobs up for the camera. Aside from that she writes a little in the sand, crawls a bit, and doesn’t move around much. The camera provides most of the motion.

Chapter Two begins with Hikari wearing a see-through shift over a bra and panties set that has some yellow satin trim. She’s indoors standing and then sitting on the floor in front of a window. Just like the beach chapter, Hikari does a bit of crawling, but the camera is responsible for most of the movement.

After two chapters, I can now detect a pattern to the style of the DVD. After each scene ends, we then see a text question in Japanese on a black screen. Hikari then answers the question, and then the next scene rolls.

For the third main chapter we are back on the beach. Hikari’s bikini is red and black and is much briefer than the solid blue bikini she wore in the first chapter. This time Hikari is posed amid some huge shoreline rock formations. But the director’s style of providing the movement and motion remains in place. We also note that we never see Hikari changing positions. In short there’s no transitions between poses. It is all done by editing cuts.

For the 1st time in this DVD, it is in this chapter that Hikari removes her top and uses her hands or arms to cover her breasts.

In the fourth chapter, Hikari is wearing a short knit dress. We are shown the visual evidence that she is wearing panties beneath the dress. But we don’t see any evidence of a bra. In fact, it looks like they are making sure we think she is bra-less without giving us any unambiguous proof. Of course, as this is a gravure DVD, no proof was going to be offered. Simply – use your imagination.

The fifth chapter finds Hikari wearing a spectacular faux leopard skin ensemble which includes a clingy deeply cut top and matching panties and stockings. Hikari is posing on some tatami mats in a room with windows on two sides, so the lighting is the natural sunlight. With the windows behind her, there are some natural shadows created by the back-lighting.

Though Hikari doesn’t move much, I think this is the co-best scene in the video for getting a nice look at her magnificent body.

Six is the chapter where Hikari dons the traditional Japanese school uniform for girls – a navy and white sailor top and skirt with high navy socks and loafer shoes. She begins in a field with many small pretty flowers, and she’s working on a small lollipop. The lollipop goes away and Hikari is then posing on a low wooden bench. Towards the end of the chapter, she will lower the zipper of her top, and tug it off her shoulders thereby providing an excellent cleavage shot.

The seventh chapters shares the best-in-show honors with the 5th chapter. This time Hikari is in the public bath of the Japanese traditional sea-side resort. She enters the water wearing a long dress. As the dress gets wet it clings to her curves. Soon enough she will lower the dress so that her entire upper body is bare. The all too familiar hand and arm bra comes into view.

Then there’s some views with Hikari lifting the dress up to reveal about three quarters of her bare bottom. While this chapter isn’t particularly revealing or explicit, we have to say that Hikari has a great shape.

The last chapter has Hikari in a bedroom. She’s in black undies and stockings seated on the bed. The bra has black lace trim and the stocking match. Her panties are thong-style. Hikari will lower the bra straps and release the clasps in back. There is a very brief transitional fade, and then the bra has been replaced by the bed sheet which she holds in front of her. It isn’t very daring but it is revealing.

And that is it for the main chapters. The rolling credits are about 97% in Japanese characters, so I don’t have any location or crew info.

The twelve minute making of segment begins with about 3:45 of an interview. The rest of the making of is traditional for the gravure genre.

Summary: While not a great DVD this is a fascinating DVD. Hikari Asahi has a sweetness to her. Her face and smile are quite lovely and we can clearly see this sweetness despite the fact that in all the chapters she is limited to small spaces and not asked to move much.

The director’s style is a lot of slow pans and scans which provide most of the movement and motion. He also doesn’t do long takes or transitions between set-ups. This video had a great number of cuts rather than long takes.

Hikari’s figure is simply extremely busty. As I said above, she compares with Miyabi Isshiki. I’ll score this video at four point zero, and I’ll recommend it. And as closing note, I do hope that Hikari Asahi can land some contracts from some of the bigger gravure producers. I do want to see more of her.
