If you haven’t noticed this yet, please be aware that the Japanese Web Vendor – cdjapan.co.jp – has made a decision to no longer sell idol videos. So none of the links to the cdjapan web pages that offer the DVDs that I have reviewed work.
In fact, if you were to Google, these same DVDs, none of the links posted on Google that link back to specific idol DVDs once offered by cdjapan, are functional at this time. All you will get is a re-direct to a page that will inform you that: No items were found that match your query.
Since I had a link back to cdjapan for most of the idol reviews that I have published, eventually all of those links will be deleted, but in the meantime, simply don’t click those links because they will not produce any useful results.

Well at least there still Play Asia
The odd thing is that they haven’t updated their “newsmail” thing to reflect this. Yesterday I received email from them announcing Miyabi Isshiki’s forthcoming DVD, but of course I got a “not found” when I followed the link.
In the past I’ve bought from both play-asia.com and amazon.co.jp as well as cdjapan, but there’s also yesasia.com.
I asked someone at cdjapan what was going on and they said,
‘Unfortunately CDJapan can not offer idol DVDs at the moment because the contents of idol DVDs were judged as inappropriate materials for a couple settlement agencies we use.
So we had no choice but to take down the products from our site.
Although no specific plans are actually in progress yet, we are hoping to create a separate website in the future to offer idol dvds.’
I also asked if the restrictions apply to neowing,
‘No they don’t, products from Neowing can still be purchased.
We can not restrict customers from buying from Neowing so they can still be purchased.’
I prefer Yesasia myself anyway.

I mean, unless they are talking about U-15 Kingdom or GOD releases, how is cheesecake inappropriate?
Well, one man’s cheesecake is another man’s poison.
Ok, that’s being smart-assed, but if what was reported is true, the settlement agency calls the shots. So even if they’re interpretation of cheesecakes is different than yours and mine, it was a strong enough message for cdjapan to pull the plug.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

cdjapan had some unspecified legal trouble a couple of years ago: that’s when they removed the link to their idols section, and stopped selling the racier stuff that neowing still sell to the domestic market. I guess it’s a minefield for any company which ships erotic material internationally, given the differing standards worldwide. And cdjapan do occasionally make mistakes: I was surprised recently to see them offering Ai Shinozaki’s latest DVD for sale, given that she was under 18 in it – I thought they’d dropped all U-18 DVDs.
Nanashi – I remember that event – you accessed that Idols page,: new releases, future releases, best sellers etc from something called Special Interests. I recall that I had saved that internal link as a favorite so I was able to continue.
But at the time, I wondered about why they would do that. It seemed a move engineered to reduce sales.
As another comment above stated – a reply from Neowing said that the Neowing division would continue to sell those products. However, I haven’t been able to figure out how to create a neowing acct.
As for Ai Shinozaki, you are right on that score as well. Releasing a video on or after her 18th birthday does NOT alter the fact that she was under the age of 18 when the video was shot. I’ve seen previews of her upcoming DVD, and in my opinion, she still looks very young.
