THE SKINNY: In Minami Matsuzaka’s short career as a gravure model, since her 1st DVD L-Cup 115, was released less than a year ago (Jan. 30, 2009), she’s settled into an easily discerned pattern. Wear as little as possible, and whenever a chance presents itself, remove said costume, and yet remain a viable gravure performer. This clearly means no sex and no nudity. But it doesn’t mean no fun.
This one is her 6th gravure video, and 5th that I’ve reviewed. She remains true to form, only this time she’s having much more fun than usual. So without further delay, let’s break it down and have a good look at Minami Matsuzaka in Bounyu.
LOCATION: Cebu in the Philippines. The JWB Resort of course.
CONTENT SET UP: 12 Chapters which include the Introduction/Montage (Chapter One) as well as a 10 minute Making Of segment (Chapter 12) leaving 10 main chapters.
Once the montage concludes, Chapter 2 begins and we find Minami about to step into a bath tub. She’s clad in a red bikini (as expected), and the action starts off with Minami scrubbing us briefly with a brush before we return the favor. It seems we’ve seen this before in many of Yoko Matsugane’s DVDs. The angle is the same throughout as the camera is positioned at the end of the tub rather than along the side.
Of note is the fact that there’s a very thorough scrubbing between Minami’s legs from either direction. The usual style for this is inner thighs and butt cheeks only, so this is most surprising and must be considered a major step in a direction not previously seen, and is much more provocative than we regularly see in gravure videos.
Chapter 3 starts as if it should garner the best in show award. It is a bedroom scene and initially Minami is wearing a black peignoir with some sequins for trim. Her butt has a furry item between her cheeks, and we’ll come to find similar furry items at the ends of her breasts and also in front to serve as a patch of pseudo-pubic hair. We know it is an add-on and there’s some golden strands that shimmer, but your first thoughts will be: it’s not real, but if it were…

But the scene degrades down to a Layfull Eight wannabe. Two feathery things loom into view, and then along with a long pointer with one finger, they all begin to poke and prod Minami. She laughs at first, but the laughter seems a bit forced further along, and when the finger starts poking around between her legs, they’ll have to shut it down.
Chapter 4 starts with a sheet covering Minami. Hands appear and start to give her a massage. When Minami is on her stomach, they’ll show a good bit of her butt cheeks upper and lower halves. Then she’s going to turn over onto her back. But the transition is edited out. Maybe there was some slippage of the sheet. But we’ll never know. That’s what you call discretionary editing.
Once she’s situated on her back, her boobs get gently massaged while covered by the sheet, but then the masseuse will put one hand under the sheet and continue to massage her bust. This is kind of daring but it doesn’t work all that well, and the scene is relatively short.
Chapter 5 is a swimming pool scene, and if you’re familiar with Minami you know that after half the scene has gone by, she’s going to remove the upper part of her swimsuit, and cover her bosom with the usual hand/arm bra. Nothing that we haven’t seen before by Ms Matsuzaka. The music was excellent in this chapter, as was the transitioning between above the surface to below the surface with the same camera.
Back indoors is where 6 begins. Minami is wearing shorts and a sleeveless pullover top. She’s seated on a chair. Within a few seconds a long chocolate coated penile shaped object is brought into play. So this is the pseudo – fellatio scene which is a Matsuzaka standard item.
Seven is outdoors. Minami is shirt-less and bra-less. She’s also wrapped in a pink rope, and she wears black lace pasties on the ends of her boobs. Great emphasis is made that the cord runs between her legs. Eventually some one with a black metallic pointer enters the scene to poke betwen her legs and to poke her boobs. This scene was a failure – too slow and not the least erotic.
Minami next appears in Chapter 8 in what appears to be a bar with one pool table. She’s dressed in a red sequined top and blue/black panties. Again this is a very slow moving scene and to be honest, the 3 ball nestling in her cleavage doesn’t really work either.
Chapter 9 begins with Minami hiding behind the see-through curtain. In what has to be the most rapid disposal of a top that we’ve seen from her ever – she brings the hand/arm bra into play. Then somehow, they switch locations and even style as she is suddenly outside and her boobs and butt are covered in whipped cream or shaving cream. Rest assured that soon enoough you will get to see why the location was changed – she’s now standing in an outdoor shower area. But we won’t see any rinsing off.
Instead they change up on us once again, as Minami is now bare busted except for the pudding(?) or is it cake frosting covering her chest. And then before you get to deeply invested in that, they change up once again. Now chocolate sauce is slowly being dripped onto her body. Eventually they show a few seconds of the rinsing off before coming in for a head shot. The variety was clever and the chocolate sauce was nearly artistic. There was also a good number of interesting angles. While I’m not usually a fan of those kinds of scenes where the model can’t do much, I thought this one was done very well.
Chapter 10 has Minami pleasuring herself with two hand held battery operated vibrators. But she will hand them off to us, and the perspective is that our hands are holding these Pocket Vibe machines. We work on her boobs, then in earnest on her upper and inner thighs.
The last of the main chapters is in the bedroom. The lights are low, and Minami is wearing a bustier, panties, stockings, fingerless gloves, a heavy necklace, and garters. But far too rapidly the heavy breathing and panting starts, and then Minami simulates intercourse in a variety of positions. Yoko Matsugane has done this many times over and far better than we see here.
Roll credits. We are now nearly at 52 minutes and the 9 and half minutes Making of Featurette follows. About half of this is an interview.
SUMMARY: Overall I’m going to score this one at just three point two five. Why go all the ways out to Cebu and then have just one scene in a swimming pool, and none by the beach. The pseudo sex scene failed miserably as compared to Yoko’s versions, and the pseudo b.j. scene has been done to death by many others.
The camera work was well above average, as was the pacing and editing. I’m just disappointed that Minami and the producers at Saibunkan haven’t updated at all. The subject matter seems so stale, and Minami’s videos are always the same thing.
Suggestion: Show us Minami in a tight tee-shirt and jeans. Show us Minami in Tokyo in a turtle necked sweater and maybe a short suede skirt and boots, in an open coat walking on the street. Show her on the beach. Lose the props, the pointers, the probing, poking, and prodding. Skip the faked sex. Obviously Minami is a good looking and mature woman. How about showing us something other than what 17 and 18 year old fan boys find interesting.

Whoever did her implants is amazing, they actually look GOOD, and I’m a fake breast HATER!
I’ll definitely add this to my collection, Layfull Eight style vids are my favorite because they are the ultimate tease.

Teasing, even ultimate teasing is fine with me, but MM’s videos are too much of the same note over and over.
I think some variety is needed.

I’m perplexed about this girl (although she’s hardly a “girl”).
I think she photographs as well as any Idol I can think of. Each of her DVD covers (and your vidcaps) has caused me to reach for my wallet.I did purchase her first release, and was somewhat disappointed.
A friend of mine out-west sent me a copy of her second, and I liked it slightly better (maybe because it was free?)
I dunno … she looks astounding to me in “stills”, but somehow her vids leave me flat.

Maybe MInami needs to understand the value of holding something back. Since almost all of her scenes end with her topless – the proverbial hand bra or arm bra being employed – that removes all the elements of surprise.
You know what’s coming and you get it – over and over.
I think I’d love to see her clothed and in the city streets attracting covert glances as well as outright stares and flirtatious leers.
If I were her agent or a video producer that’s what I’d try next.
Why not – her five ‘tropical’ videos that I’ve reviewed have all been so similar that it’s time for something new and different.
