The Skinny: I loved the first DVD I saw of Konomi Yoshikawa. The title was Yes! I am Konomi Yoshikawa, or in the Japanese – Hai Yoshikawa Konomi Desu and I was less thrilled by her next one called Konomin . I figured that I owed it to myself and to Konomi to watch another of her DVD’s so she might get another high score from me. The fact that this was an I-One release was also a very favorable factor.

As we’ve come to expect, I-One’s location of choice seems to be Dreamland Beach, Bali. Though it’s not a surprise to see an IV model on a tropical beach – what is surprising is the the production houses keep returning to this same location.

Konomi begins playfully on this very same beach. She wears a skimpy green bikini. She doesn’t really do much in the surf. It’s mostly just her on the beach, and then on this beach lounger that has been placed right at the water’s edge. The camera work is okay and the director was smart enough to grab some intriguing images of the famous Konomin butt.

After this Konomi needs a bath. This is Bali so we can expect a luxurious setting and we get it. We can see the the sky, lots of Balinese flora, and even some bamboo trees. All of which are within the enclosed confines of the this open air bath. The bath tub area has marble floor and walls and beyond the glass is an outdoor shower. Konomi wears a mix and match top and bottom, and she’ll apply the soap liberally.

Later we are back at the poolside. More loungers with umbrellas line the pool area. The yellow, white, and orange trimmed bikini clad Konomi doesn’t spend much time on the lounger. She’ll head right into the pool. I-One has their underwater camera along to spice up the scene. The underwater shots are nothing to write home about. Then comes the outdoor shower by the poolside.

Next scene has Konomi in a Japanese school girl outfit – white shirt, a tie, high navy socks, and a dark skirt. She’s immediately soaked by someone armed with a hose. Soaked to the skin but still fully clothed, Konomi heads for the supposed privacy of a garage. She’s between a wall and a parked van. We’re right there with camera crew as Konomi has to get out those wet clothes. She pretends to be a little shy both verbally and actually, so she’s handed a towel. But you know she’s still going to be there in just a bra and panties, we do get a good look.

More of the finery of this elegant Bali resort is evident over the next series of scenes. Konomi wears a cut down backless, side-less, zippered sweat shirt. She lies down on this tanning bed trimmed with bamboo and applies some body lotion.

Konomi walks into the next scene in a bustier, panties, garter belt and stockings, and High heels. She’s also got some of a lacy choker thing around her throat. This costume is not something you usually in an outdoors scene. Speaking of which, check out those stone walls. I’ll bet that didn’t go up in a day! Sadly, after that dynamic approach down the stone-walled corridor, the scene flattens and becomes a whole lot less interesting.

Next we have Konomi in a Japanese boy’s high school uniform. It is a little big on her, and besides that, only a few moments later, she will take it off. Of course this renders the costume pointless. I would have preferred to have her take off a tight tee shirt and jeans. But that would have only been more attractive to me, but still pointless.

Once again we have Konomi left in a bra and panties. She does almost nothing while she remains seated until someone gives her a gift – a necklace with a ‘K’ pendant.

Next Konomi is a maid. She wears an apron with not much beneath it. She will be sweeping and dusting. She greets us with ‘Okari’ which means ‘welcome back’ even though we did not say, ‘Tadaima’ which means ‘I’m back’. And then the light housekeeping begins. After which Konomi will find her way out to the garden area behind the villa and she’ll have a need to climb up on a table before the scene ends.

Later we’re back in a bedroom. Konomi ostensibly awakens for us. She wears a frilly red top and frilly panties that for some reason have a tiny skirt to them. They’ve engineered this scene to show us a few moments of Konomi’s small cleavage.

Next Konomi show up in another frilly skirt and a tight tee-shirt with apples on it. She wears a white bikini top beneath it. It is hot so Konomi gets a bottle of cold water from us. As we’ve seen in an endless number of these videos, a bottle of cold water usually means there will will be spillage. Once again this proves to be exactly what happens.

At the 53:34 mark, the next chapter begins. Konomoi wears some sort of bridal outfit. No wedding dress of course but lots of lacy frills and even a veil. The bed is strewn with flower petals. Konomi as ‘our bride’ welcomes us to bed. Off come the veil, the stockings, even the white lacy gloves. They make a point of zooming in so we can see the “K” pendant that she received earlier. After some alluring posing in just the bra and panties the scene will end, as will the main chapters.

As with all I-One DVDs, there’s a short tee-shirt signing segment, and a few minutes of some behind the scenes and making of footage. Most of which is you can skip.

Summary: Three point zero is the rating. Konomi needs to change her costume style. Please get sleek and shiny in your bikinis. Get rid of all the frilly stuff. Seeing every pair of panties that she wears with a useless skirt and lace is boring.

The director needs to abandon his penchant for excessive facial closeups in nearly every scene.

On the bright side was the extra special location of the DVD. This was a really exotic and beautiful villa in Bali, which was not identified, nor did I recognize it. But it did help the video in its way.
