Wow - ordering September releases already? I've not even ordered the upcoming August releases that I want .

You must have lots of built up discounts with cdjapan. I prefer amazon.co.jp - I think their prices are cheaper thancdjapan, and they ship via fedex which is faster than the USPS express service used by cdjapan.

About the Haruna release on 9-26. This one, is released with an SBVD cat #. This is Saibunkan. Recently I reviewed their Miho Isshii DVD M-Style and thought it was excellent, So I am hoping that the next Hana Haruna release will also be very good.

Yeah ... the music sucked. But on those Idol DVDs that have bad soundtracks I just put on some Led Zep or Heart and all of my senses (or two of them anyway) are completely satisfied.
By the way, I just pre-ordered Hana Haruna's (as yet untitled) September (assumed) masterpiece from cdJapan.
She is really crankin' 'em out fast, isn't she?
I say "keep 'em comin'!"
Whether or not any given director has any idea what to do with her (and her preposterously magnificent physique), I just adore Hana.

Thanks Xater and Mike from Michigan for your input.

For sure Nonami's work is terrific. And getting better, And she's likely to be the reigning queeen for the foreseeable future.

By the way Mike, I also have the other Nonami - but I am going to have a guest review for that one. As I said, I found it very interesting that one was shot in Okinawa, and the other in Bali.

The one I havent reviewed - I liked it visually, but thought the music was horrible.Any comment on that?

X-man, I too am following Hana Haruna's career quite closely, at least as far as buying her DVDs. She's less polished before the cameras than most of the other girls, but that won't stop me from watching her.

jmm - fine review (as usual). my score would be a tad higher (only because of the way I feel about Nonami) but imho your assessment of the disc is highly accurate.
I (of course) have the companion piece as well, and though quite different from this one, it (she) is equally breathtaking. I guess it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) I think both of these are gems that all Nonami afficionados will be extremely pleased to have in their library.
Not to knock Yoko or Rio or Miri (or anybody else for that matter), but to me Nonami's efforts are light-years ahead of all pretenders to her throne. I know that the aforementioned have longevity bragging-rights, but I feel that the quality of Nonami's work is (currently at least) far superior. And by that I specifically mean that even though Nonami has become more and more risque over the years, she can be (and is) sexy-as-all-get-out without resorting to the antics that so many others have turned to. But, as they say, there's something for everyone.

Thanks for the review JMM!!! I agree that over the last couple of years Nonamin is "it", the top gravure girl, but Yoko is still pretty close and in an overall look at their careers (going baaaaack to 2001) Yoko is untouchable, unless she retires and Nonami or whoever keeps going for another 4 or 5 years... and at this pace, we are not even sure that Yoko won't outlast everyone else!!! :p

Although it does look as if Nonami slowed down a bit during the first half of the year, compared to... say Hana Haruna who has had twice as many releases and is starting to make an impact is photo sets and stuff.

As for Saori... just like Yoko, I would say that her career is or has been to this point, indeed bigger than Nonami's, kinda Eiko Koike type of girl but apparently not with the same longevity... it is pretty weird, but at the same time, many idols won't make it past 21 or 22... who knows, maybe her Futsal career is paying the bills?

Speaking of Yamamotos, the one who did several works with Nonami was Ayano Yamamoto, I recall a WPB anniversary special that had all three girls, but Nonami and Ayano even had Photo Books and DVDs with both of them released.

Going even more off topic... I always wondered if Saori and Rio Natsume ever clashed in one of those Futsal games =p

Thanks Malau - it's nice to have a friend from China visit my site.

On a purely woman basis - I think Yoko is the nicest looking.

On the basis of the DVD's - I agree and I like Nonami's work the best. Rio has grown up quite nicely in the last six years. Her maturity is evident in her curvy body. Miri is some what of a mystery. Her work is either very good or has been strange. She goes for some themes that I don't always understand.

As for Saori Yamamoto I did a few reviews of her probably four years ago. I liked her looks but thought that her smile was a little too sweet. Maybe she concentrated on college and gave up modeling for awhile. Or maybe she got married and gave up modeling for that.

But the answer may be one other - she tried her hand at being an actress. She did no Idol videos in 2007. Made three released in 2008. And none this year.

Again thanks for taking the time to comment.

Great review Mike, thanks.

Would you agree, or not, that Nonami is at the top of the tree right now ?
She seems to have maintained a high, quality output over the last 2 years, unlike Rio, Miri and Yoko M who have either released very little or released 'same old same old' stuff.

I wonder what happened to Saori Yamamoto ? Her and Nonami started out at the same time, and if at the time you were going to bet on either of them making it big then it would have been Saori, but she has all but disappeared.
