As my Brit friends would say, “brilliant … absolutely stunning.” This describes not only Hana herself, but this wonderful gem of a DVD.

The slip-case (above), depicting Hana on a beautiful beach at sunset, showed me everything I was going to need to know about this – her third – DVD.

Unlike her first release (from the fine folks at Takeshobo), numbers two and three (from the equally fine folks at Air Control), are presented in a 4:3 aspect ratio. A minor complaint, but a complaint nonetheless. More Hana is better Hana.

The opening minute-and-a-half of the disc previews what’s to come, and even though the musical soundtrack is soothing and serene, the excitement has already begun for me.

Chapter One (of 10) begins with Hana frolicking along a lovely beach wearing a teal-colored swimsuit which cannot even begin to contain her sublime assets. Even though some find the gravure-idol-staple of beach scenes to be tiresome and worn, I find them to be an essential ingredient of the gravure idol video. Nothing new or innovative here. But Hana pressing her womanhood into the sand and bouncing around with unbridled enthusiasm with the sea and the sky as a backdrop is breathtaking.

A word or two about Hana herself here … I find Hana’s face to be one of the two-or-three most attractive in gravure idol history. Not just her facial features, but also her facial expressions. To me, her face has a warmth and a genuinely sincere friendliness about it … and I believe her infectious smile could melt steel.

Moving along to Chapter Two, we find Hana (apparently in someone’s backyard) jumping rope, wearing a rather ugly top, which she quickly sheds, revealing a “modestly skimpy” bikini top.

I say “modestly skimpy” because, considering the size of her massively large boobs, there is precious little that she is going to fit into “properly”.

From rope-jumping in the backyard, Hana moves onto the deck, where she spends some time bouncing and rolling on one of those large, air-filled balls, obviously enjoying herself and laughing.In this scene, we also discover that Hana’s ample breasts are not her only strong-suit.

There’s a prolonged up-skirt sequence (if one can call the tiny denim item she’s wearing a “skirt’) that puts her world-class derriere on conspicuous display.And her bubbly personality really shines through in this segment … something that happens while tossing the giant ball around has her laughing-up-a-storm.

Chapter Three is one of those sexual-ice-cream-cone scenes that I ordinarily dislike, but somehow Hana manages to pull this off with a flair. Her facial expression seems to be saying, “This is really stupid, but I’m going to have some fun with this, and maybe drive you guys a little crazy along the way.” The Australian cleavage shots in this scene, with Hana exuberantly fondling herself — ice-cream dripping down her torso and leg — are nothing short of amazing. While some girls would do this kind of scene in a “dirty” fashion, Hana makes it just teasingly fun.

Chapter Four has Hana once again on the deck in a practically non-existent pink bikini bra, preparing a dessert by squeezing the sweets (so to speak) into a mixing bowl — of course using her breasts as the squeezers. No problem getting chocolate syrup out of a plastic bottle for Hana’s boobs … I believe she could crush a cinder-block with those weapons that she’s packing!

Next up … Hana-in-a-hammock — almost wearing a bright green bikini top and a pair of denim (very) short-shorts. A nice, slow pace to this scene, with music to match the mood. Our Idol really gives her charms a workout in this segment, using the rope of the hammock to demonstrate their “squish-ability”.

Chapter Six proves that Hana does indeed have one minor flaw — she can’t dance worth beans. But the vastly undersized plaid bikini bra (and the way she fills it), and her tight green panties allowed me to overlook her lack of dancing skills.

Chapter Seven has Hana poolside, wearing an extremely (and I do mean extremely) revealing swimsuit, getting lotion poured on her … which she, of course, rubs in tantalizingly … thankfully giving special attention to her glorious boobs.

Chapter Eight finds Hana on a beach at sunset, looking every bit the goddess that she is, applying lotion all over her magnificent body. There’s Asian-influenced disco-beat music on the soundtrack here, and it seems to work well. As Hana walks into (actually away from) the sunset, I found myself wanting more than the 60 minutes that has just flown by.

But wait … there is more. Chapter Nine is a brief, laughter-filled “blooper reel” and Chapter Ten is a kind-of-clever, ten-minute Extra in which someone “sneaks” into Hana’s hotel room, going through her closet, snooping in her purse, and, finally, waking her. We finish our 70 minutes of bliss with a “sleepy” Hana, wearing a purple-and-black low-cut sweater, giving us one last wave and a glimpse down her conveniently unbuttoned sweater at her ample bosom.

And the production values, you ask? Well, I found the soundtrack to be interesting and thought it fit the mood of the scenes quite well. The editing was pretty close to being just-right. Not too jumpy … not overly lengthy. The videographer was steady if not spectacular. He captured Hana from lots of different angles and made her look terrific. (Not too difficult a task if you ask me). I had a few problems with the work of the lighting guy at times, but nothing that made me want to pull my hair out. The producer/director had things moving along at a good pace, found some good settings for Hana to work in, and made Hana look absolutely gorgeous. (See comment above).

In conclusion, I know I’m completely ga-ga over this girl, but I think with justification. I’ve been ogling Idol Videos for over a decade now, and I’ve never … never … seen three more captivating releases at the beginning of an idol’s career than Hana’s. Not Yoko, not Rio, not Miri, not MEGUMI, not Harumi. Not Nonami, not Mizuki.I’m ready and willing to pre-order #4 right now – no questions asked – and I can hardly wait for the announcement. I don’t think Mike has ever given out this score before — but I’m giving this one a 5.0
