The Skinny: Seems like we had been waiting for this DVD since the end of 2006 when Fuko hit the stands in a full color photo spread and a insert DVD in Japan’s Bachelor Magazine. Between March of 2007 and all of 2008, Fuko performed in more than a dozen gravure videos without ever showing off her naked body.
Almost nude, nearly naked, fig leafs, pasties, balloons, and minuscule bikinis were the closest we came to seeing the unadorned Fuko.
In fact, I don’t think we ever saw Fuko is what you might call a basic bra. Of course, at the size of the bra she required, basic wouldn’t be the proper term either.
Then in 2009, following some carefully timed announcements, Fuko appeared in three rather dull AV’s from Muteki. Yes, Fuko did all that they do in Japanese Adult Videos, no holds barred. But it didn’t seem as if she had really enjoyed herself.
So some of us questioned how come there was no intermediate step. You know, why didn’t she graduate from gravure to topless or nude, before taking the deep plunge into hardcore.
Well someone over at Air Control must have read my mind, or yours, or somehow overheard conversations in many of the Akihabara video shops. Akihabara is Tokyo’s Electric Town and home to some of the finest video stores I’ve ever seen.
And so, they packaged Fuko and a crew and sent them off to Bali. The result is this DVD called, Fuko – All Nude in Bali. First off, yes she is naked in many of the scenes. Most in fact.
Second, this is what you call tasteful nudity. There’s no sex, there’s no men on top of her, and there’s no sex toys either. Just Fuko. Naked.
Having said all that, I must also say that this may be the video you wanted – seeing Fuko naked, but this isn’t anywhere as good as some of her better gravure videos.
While it is true that Fuko has an astounding bust-I mean you don’t see 120 cms, P-Cup boobs very often, there’s still something missing in this DVD. And that would be joy.
Fuko seems to be very matter of fact. Yes, I’ll take the money, and yes, I’ll show off my body and, yes, I’ll let men all over the world fantasize about me. But don’t expect me to have a good time.
This is how it seems to me. Fuko doesn’t scowl at the camera, or act petulantly difficult, she just seems to be following directions and working towards finishing each scene without requiring retakes.
Its like she’s made up her mind that this is work, and not fun. And somehow it shows in the way she carries herself, or the way she looks at the camera, or the way she just doesn’t seem to be able to let go, relax, and enjoy what she’s doing.
OTOH, this is not going to be work for you viewers. You most likely are going to be awed by her larger than life bust on her fairly short body.
You’ll let your imagination run wild and you will think that it is you that Fuko is waiting for with her bare breasts in that bedroom scene.
Or that she wants you to rub soap on her breasts in the shower.
Or that of all the men in the world that dream of her, you are the one she dreams of.
Yes, when you let your imagination create some fantasies around what you see on the screen, Fuko does become a dream woman, capable of igniting the fires within you.
Summary: this is a wonderful middle ground video for those of you who adored Fuko as a gravure idol but were less than thrilled with her efforts in AV. As I said in the intro this is a video featuring a nude Fuko, but it is tasteful nudity.
So once you get past Fuko’s lack of charisma, in this video, you will be able to enjoy her figure, and if you empower your imagination, your enjoyment will increase nicely.
Recommended. Four point zero, and well worth your time.

Thanks Mike as ever for your fine assessments of new DVDs. I am glad that at last we have a nude Fuko, as I am not a hardcore lover, but do like big busted naked girls. It seems to me that this is the least popular market, as Idols and AV take up most of the space and I guess volume sales. It also always seems to me that the naked breast is a rarity in many DVDs, where in R-15 and R-18 rated productions, you see almost everything but the breast, pasties being used most of the time. i hope that this diversion sets a trend, and we can have Hitomi Tanaka and a few other gravure idols doing similar work. Perhaps also thay can be a bit more adventurous and play with their boobs too, as a Mai Nadasaka DVD I got before she went into full time AV. hope this is a new trend anyway. While I don’t track sales, sometimes I have to look at a list of best sellers to find out what is new and jumping off the shelves. This is how I often become aware of a new title that I’d like to own.
With a Fuko, there’s also some news that bubbles to the surface. This means that Fuko has very good Management. Her videos for Muteki may not have been very good, but they did get her a new contract with S1. And she’ll have a release from S1 on May 7th.
Certainly I agree that many of us would be thrilled if this particular niche market, Tasteful Nudity, could attract some of the most popular Gravure models. But I am not one of the suits sitting in an corporate office in Japan making that kind of decision.
But we can still hope it happens.

Hi Mike!
(Well, I didn’t comment “Romper Girl” but I’m still trying to recover myself after that kind of incredible release, arigatou ^^).
It’s true that Fuko is a great representation of how wild we can be, or better said “our thoughts can be” but, as you wrote, she looks like she’s boring in almost all the pics and that’s not something attractive for me, a fan of smilies Idols like Hitomi Aizawa, Nonami Takizawa and Kana Tsugihara ^^.
Still, her body is great and that’s enough reason to give it a try but I don’t think worthy enough to add it to my idols dvd collection.
But the fact is that she’s working hard and she looks like it (maybe missing the guys from her AV dvds ¬¬).
Like Gavin, I would like to see Hitomi Tanaka in a video like this, I mean, back to the old times but with her breast “in the air”.
But if we talk about big breast women in naked dvd (please, without guys) I would kill to see Miyabi Isshiki doing one, that would be unforgettable =^_^=.

Thanks for comments – as I said many were hoping for a non-sexual Fuko nude video, and they got it. I suspect Fuko will be asked to show the same sort of spirit she showed in many of her gravure DVDs.
As for Hitomi, she is doing some magazine work which means more bikinis, and those magazines do have free DVDs in them, but they’re not easy for me to get. I’m not likely to get back to Japan until the fall.
And regarding Miyabi, turns out she did do a nude video under a different name BEFORE she became popular as Miyabi. Unfortunately that name escapes me for the moment; but I’m thinking that she didn’t like doing nude videos, and that one wasn’t so good anyway. Lately she’s not been seen at all.
College? Marriage? Who knows?

I think it’s Miri Sendo the name Miyabi used before, I’m not sure but I think she did two IVs, one nude and the other one nude+fetish-solo-bondage?
I always hoped for a Hitomi vs Fuko Gravure video… hehehe… maybe they can do it now?

Oh, I made a typo, I meant that Miri Sendo did a Non-Nude IV which seems to be filmed about the same time (maybe during the same shoot?) as the one with nudity. IIRC, both looked pretty amateurish, and Miyabi looked much better (and more polished) in her glorious era as Ms. Isshiki.
I do think Fuko returned to old days… that is, her tokyotopless stuff hehehe, but not so for Hitomi Tanaka “doing old school”, she never felt as a Gravure Idol to me, so, although I like both of them, when they turned to the “dark side”, it was not that heartbreaking as Rio or Yoko doing it would be…

Just as a note, Sendō Miri and Isshiki Miyabi are not the same model, nor did she ever do nudes AFAIK. They do share some similar features (maybe some kind of blood relation?), but are different people unless there’s some extreme facial reconstruction surgery going on (which, although extremely unlikely, is certainly possible).
Miri released two DVDs: Bakunyū (爆乳) and Yakudō Suru Bakunyū (躍動する爆乳), both in 2006. I have only seen the former (I own it), but it is quite obvious that the models are different people. To me anyways.
I think what raises a lot of suspicion in people’s minds are that there is an undeniable similarity between the models’ facial structure and bust size, but also that Miyabi released her first DVD in 2007 (Mix Juice, co-starring Fūko [ugh], Sugihara Momoka), providing the possibility that the model changed her name and got that afforementioned facial surgery (as well as losing some serious weight – Miyabi is very noticably lighter than Miri).
On a related note, Miyabi will be releasing a new DVD on June 25th: Miyabi Iro (みやび色).

I will yield to your knowledge. Since I cannot read any Japanese language source material, I am in no position to make any counter claims. In any event I’ve misidentified models before, so this is not the first time, I’ve been wrong.
I am glad to hear that after a long hiatus, Miyabi will have a new video for us. That is very good news despite the two months of waiting time ahead.

Well, I did qualify with AFAIK. There was some discussion a while back on a few sites (Forest Of Breast, for one) as to whether Miri and Miyabi were the same person – the general consensus is that they looked similar but were not.

Oh, I misused the term nude when it was only a topless video. I’ve never been convinced on Miri and Miyabi being the same or not, but I thought it was like common knowledge and went with it.
As for the extreme facial surgery, well, one never knows, although it seems that the Gravure Fan Internet Community will always get on huge arguments about breast surgery, I guess facial jobs go unnoticed, I remember waaaaay back when Yoko Matsugane was just a rookie, in one of her yahoo clubs, some were saying she had fake boobs, and one guy (luckiest guy on earth!) claimed to have attended high school with her and said she was massive all along… but that he was sure she had her face fixed… it’s pretty likely a bogus statement, but then again, face surgery is not reserved for superstars, anyone can get one done these days, at least, on this side of the Atlantic…
Anyways, I’m pretty happy Miyabi is making a comeback, hey, Miyabi and Miri (Sendo) should do a DVD together to set the recond straight!!!

You lads got me interested in the Miri/Miyabi “controversy”, so I decided to do a little personal visual investigation on the subject.
I own both Miri DVDs and all of Miyabi’s DVDs, so I popped them into the DVD player for a close inspection.
Actually, I feel more than a bit stupid because I had never noticed a similarity in the subject(s) of these IVs before.
My initial reaction was that there indeed is an uncanny resemblance between Miri and Miyabi.
However, I then noticed that “both women” have a cluster of moles (or freckles) under “their” breasts, and “their” teeth are exactly the same.
I think that two different women having two identical distinctive physical characteristics would be a virtual impossibility.
Guess I have too much time on my hands, eh?

Just so every one can put this back in the drawer of settled issues – Mike from Michigan – can you send me some pics – facial closeups so we can see the full face smiling and the actual smile for each model, thanks.
The faces could be simliar as can the boobs but if the teeth and moles match – then its just the passage of time and the models are one and the same.
Not that it matters [really]. And I’m working from memory having neither in front of me.

On a somewhat related note; I picked up the Soapland themed Hitomi DVD, and found it surprisingly nice. (Not counting the pants-on-retarded mosaic censoring whose existance puzzle me to no end.) It’s got a rather weird opening segment with, assumedly, one of the higher-ups (or a woman playing one) and a strapon, but even if you skip that, there are four more scenes with Hitomi servicing people and the whole thing runs for two hours. That’s a lot of… er… bang for your buck, so to speak.

Ah, the old censorship issue again. I can’t really say anything on that that hasn’t been said over and over. For me the censorship is a distracting element but not a deal-breaker. Obviously not for you either.
I also saw the Hitomi ‘soapland’ video. And liked it.
