The Skinny: A new face on the gravure scene with a GREAT body. For a bikini-idol video this one is plenty hot. Great, big, huge tits, and substantial hips make it almost impossible not to like this model.
As the video begins, there’s two very brief encounters – one on a tennis court, then a second one, near a huge satellite dish – I mean like eight to ten seconds each which at first glance look they are going to be scenes rather than the launch of the montage. But they start the montage which is superbly filled with lots of flattering looks at the model’s great body.
We begin the main chapters with a scene on a beach. Hana wears a tee shirt over red bikini. We watch her jogging and playing in the sea. There is a rich blue sky. And yes, we can hear the sounds of the waves gently lapping the shoreline. She talks too. And this is kind of unusual for an opening beach scene. Later she will build a sand mound then flatten it with her breasts. Superb color in this scene.
Scene Two is in Bed – There are three parts to this scene as we have three different pieces of music. Hana wears a bulky fuzzy knit woolen sweater. Of course, she is bra-less. She wakes and says Ohayo (good morning). In this chapter there are lots of great butt and boobs shots. She will pour some lotion into her cleavage. This is not something you’d normally do when wearing a sweater. But hey, who’s complaining? In the last part, there’s some neat use of the natural light coming through the blinds which form some stripes on the model.
We are back on the beach for the next chapter. Our delightful model wears a multi-colored striped bikini. She will drink from a water bottle. Naturally there’s some oohs and ahs as she [intentionally] pours water into her cleavage and onto her legs. Later we will watch her wrap her boobs around the umbrella pole. This scene shows how big busted she is. In second section she’s leaning over holding the umbrella pole so the camera can offer us some cute views up from under her.
On the Tennis Court we will watch her go bra-less under her sweatshirt. This garment is far too revealing for anyone to really play tennis in. Hana shows good hand eye coordination but lousy footwork. she was just given some very soft lobs to return. You can really see that this model has huge boobs. Am I repeating myself? Yes I am but you can’t help but notice this about her as this is what the director focuses on. (Yay!)
How about a Shower scene? Okay – let’s place her in a huge huge tub and give her a hand held shower.
After the shower she is sitting in the tub so ‘someone’ as in the proverbial off-screen presence, may pour the clear gooey soap gel onto her.
A swimming pool scene follows. She wears a One piece Speedo bathing suit. The midday sun is kind of bright, making her squint at times. I am amazed that the production people haven’t yet realized that they should take the midday off as the light is much easier to work with earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. There’s not much motion as she straddles the pool divider for most of this scene.
We next find Ms Hana at a dining table of a huge hotel suite room. She crawls forward on the table to eat a banana flavored ice cream on a stick. “Oishi” she says, which means Delicious. Then in something I’ve not seen in before in this type of scene, she feeds us the ice cream which means she smears the camera lens, then she licks the ice cream off.
Once the ice cream is done, she’s still on the table, only now with no props. So we are treated to more views of her from below as she lays on the table. Our view is from below and between her legs from behind.
Back outdoors – we find her wearing a white bikini trimmed in red and with gold straps. She’s posing by some huge boulders on the Saipan coast line. She doesn’t move around much. She’ll be in a position and the camera moves around her until there’s a cut and then she’s in a new position.
Now we are in shape for a Bedroom scene. Hana wears a deep blue outfit with stockings. Her garment reveals all of her cleavage as it doesn’t really have what you might call a neckline. This thing is open nearly to the waist. It is a slow moving scene as she’s in contact with the bedpost for quite some time either while sitting up or as she’s on hands and knees with her rump against the post.
In the last of the main chapters, Hana appears dressed as a school girl – sailor shirt top, pleated blue skirt, black socks and loafers. She’ll strip down to her bra and panties. Again you’ll be amazed at how busty she is. In case you’re still thinking that I’m repeating myself – well you’re right. But I am only reacting to what the director is showing us, and in reality what he is emphasizing for us.
Credits followed by a four minute Making of Hana segment. She’s really a high spirited girl who enjoys fooling around with crew.
Summary: I thought this was an excellent video. As usual, the Takeshobo crew does a great job with a by-the-numbers idol video with a beach resort location. While there’s nothing new in terms of creativity, this model has a lot to show and she does so wonderfully. Four point two is the rating with a recommendation as I believe this model will develop quite a following.

Now, granted, I agree that Takeshobo does present it’s usual high quality standards on the production values, the actual problem with the DVD is Haruna Hana herself.
In a way she reminds of Yamaguchi Erina from a few years ago – absolutely killer body, pretty (but not beautiful) face but really not much of an idea of what to do in front of the camera. That being said, she does have more of a screen presence than Erina, but when she goes for the sexy/smoldering vibe, everything just falls flat, sometimes to comical levels. Take late in chapter 4 when she’s in the shower rubbing the shower head between her boobs: her facial expression is just so hilarously confused that I couldn’t help but laughing and cringing at the same time. And this happens over and over on the DVD – you’d think the director would wise up and say “Okay, she can’t do sensuous – let’s play to her strengths”.
During the cute, happy-type of scenes she a lot of fun to watch and is very sexy but the slower ones really detract from the overall product.
On a more personal level: sorry – sick of the beach. So much of a cliche in already extremely limited genre. I know we’re on opposite ends of the spectrum this one, though. Also, given the nature of the DVD, I really hope that she changes direction and doesn’t slide into pseudo-porn as Matsugane Yōko has. Paranoia on my part though – only one DVD into her gravure idol career does not a direction make.
I would agree that Hana is one to keep a very close eye on though – let’s hope she goes the route of Natsume Rio (who had to grow into her more obviously sexy persona). With a body like that, it would be a shame to have her slip into obscurity.

“Sorry sick of the beach” – Jeez Z, where would you have them go = a pachinko parlor? Pretty much the whole gravure genre is a cliche. I wonder why you take note of and find fault with the beach? At least they can show the model’s body at the beach which they wouldn’t be able to do if they followed her into oh let’s say a college lecture hall that was in session.
As a city dweller – you should love the thought of girls in bikinis on a beach.
And how come you haven’t any comment about the ice cream on a stick. Even Kitamura had to do that. I wish that would go.
As for Hana’s inexperience or lack of smoldering skills – you are right on that score. But this was her first DVD (I think) so I am willing to give her a pass on that.
Nice comparison to the oh-so-statuesque but statue-like Erina Yamaguchi. She was simply uptight and not comfortable and didn’t know what to do on screen. Hana looks like she could be very comfortable flaunting her assets but she still has to figure out how to best do that.

Hey, I’m not saying get rid of the beach entirely – I mean really, where else would one find women in bikinis, but it’s just a cliche within a cliche. You know, a little variety never hurt anyone. The beach setting can be quite breathtaking (and not just because of the idol), but it seems a lot of idol producers have this weird thing that either the entire DVD is outdoors or indoor with very little wiggle room. If you’re going to do stuff outdoors, at least vary it a little – go to a picturesque grotto, a forest or even on the top of a high building (good architechure, I hope). Sadly, due to the limited budget these idol DVDs are produced on, I suspect this won’t be possible until Hana has proved to be a big seller to the DVF producers and will send the big money on her productions.
Agreed on the “look-at-me-I’m-giving-a-blow-job” ice cream thing. Add to that the “just-pretend-you’re-fucking-me” camera overing over the bed as the off screen crew shakes it. I appreciate bouncing boobs more than mosrt, but come on. None of that here, but I suspect it will make an appearance in her second DVD.
I was actually more comparing Erina and Hana’s physical appearance than on-screen presence (although re-reading my initial comment, I can see how the latter would be heavily implied). Hana is much more lively and engaging and does seem to have a better idea of how to work the camera, but those embarrassingly bad “sexy” faces really took me out of the moment.
I think Hana is fantastic, but somehow, it looks as if she could be the third Okada sister… not really a bad thing but “we” need a wave of petite idols (who stay in the business, not like Megumi Kei or Hitomi tanaka :p) She looks as if her regular job is a lumberjack or miner… hehe, great body but could kick your butt if you look her the wrong way!!
Well, it’s just me, some years ago, I could never make my mind over Yoko/Harumi/Rio/Miri because they all resulted unique to me, but these later years, I’m founding some idols to be more generic (probably is me being desensitized, though)

You actually make a couple of good points – Hana’s size is that’s she’s much bigger than the norm. She’d like make Nonami Takizawa look small for example.
The Okada are big big girls. Not just in size, but in stature and in presence. Poor Fuko looked overmatched when paired with Junne and Mayuka, and this was the case even though Fuko’s boobs were the biggest of the three.
As for petite – Miri and Mizuki Horii were smaller than petite. Both are less than 5’0 feet tall. Sorry I can’t do cm’s.
Rio is taller than them, and like Yoko has a small frame.
On the other hand Harumi could never be considered small. For a guy my size – I am tall – she was the perfect size.
As for your remarks about desensitized. I understand what you’re saying. It’s more like the thrill is gone because you’ve grown accustomed to the older and popular models. I mean between Yoko and Rio they must have appeared in more than 45 videos combined.
I think that’s why Yoko has changed her style – either sales dwindled a bit or she wanted to spike the sales curve to stay ahead of the game; so she opted for the more risque groove.
I am going to do Miri’s latest Cara at some point. We’ll see what you think of that one.

Hey Mike. I saw this video about a month ago. I gotta say – what a great pair! But the rating was a little too high for me. She definitely has the body like Okada Mayuka but not nearly as attractive nor the personality. The tennis scene was the best part of the video, probably because of all that jiggling. What can you say, hopefully she’ll improve as she makes more video.

My thinking with the ratings is that we are reviewing the video and the model.
So a beautiful model might end up giving us a poor video. Or a lesser model might give us a video that is superb.
Any way the ratings are just my opinions. You can see that very often Zatoichi and I disagree sometimes even disagree by a lot.

Hello JMM – Always enjoy reading your reviews, and this one is no exception. I totally concur with your summary … “I thought this was an excellent video”.
While I fully appreciate the role of a reviewer or commentator such as yourself,I tend to take a strictly visceral approach to an Idol DVD … I either like the Idol or I don’t. And I like this one a lot.
I think she has an extremely intriguing, if not beautiful, face (an ever-so-important aspect of any Idol for me), her body seems perfectly proportioned, and her massively incredible boobs are … well, massively incredible.
As far as her “acting ability” goes, I’d have to say I couldn’t care less.
All that said, I still want to express that I am always interested in your opinions about and insights into the entire video production experience.

That works for you and works for me personally but not so ‘professionally’. If I am a fan that’s one thing, and I am a fan. As you’ve been a reader of my columns – then you know I adore some models.
But professionally, as far as writing a review – I have to set those feelings aside and react to what I see as dispassionately as possible.
Credibility is important. But you know that too.
Zatoichi made the comments about her acting ability slash facial expressions. Not me. But often we differ and some times radically. But I respect his opinions too.
