The Skinny: This one’s been collecting a lot of dust sitting on a shelf and not being used. So to help start out the new year, 2009, I thought I’d dust off a couple of older DVD’s and review them - Haruna Yabuki in Lady Iris is the other. Despite that this DVD us from ’04, Hiroko Sato has always been one of my favorites, so I am happy to present this DVD review.

Thematically, it is your basic, beautiful bikini babe DVD. But IMHO, Hiroko is so beautiful that you can forget about the lack of new or memorable style/format in this DVD. Also remember that it was produced 4 years ago. That being said, anytime you get to watch Hiroko for an hour and a half, you will be on the receiving end of distinct pleasure. In short: with her on the screen, it is Time Well Spent.

This is a jam-packed video with 16 scenes plus outtakes or off-shots as the Japanese call them. I call them behind the scenes – you know, where you get to see the model interact with the crew. Usually the model is told that the scene hasn’t started yet so just be yourself. With Hiroko, you’ll see a cheerful, happy, and playful model that seems to love what she’s doing.

I did say 16 scenes right? Well there’s no cooking or shopping. There’s no hula hoops or ice creams on a stick. There’s no need to employ any kind of objects to heighten the allure. Hiroko Sato can do that all on her own.

She does playful, and she does alluring. She’s athletic as she can swim and play tennis. She looks great in bikinis and she’s got that natural look down pat.

With that many scenes I won’t walk you through them, one by one, with comments or critiques. The images speak for themselves. This is one delightfully lovely woman.
And we do appreciate that they gave us so much variety. This becomes possible when you go for more scenes rather than lengthy scenes. I’ve seen other Idol DVDs at 90 minutes that seemed bloated. And too long. This one seemed too short even at 90 minutes.

This DVD seemed to be blessed with perfect weather. The location was the Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand;

in case you were wondering.

Summary: a couple of scenes seemed a tad over bright, and the sunset scene should have come last but it didn’t. In fact the sunset scene was followed by a night scene on the beach, in which Hiroko’s body seemed to glisten with oil – but she seemed a bit uncomfortable in this scene as she was confined to a small space; a necessary requirement in order to shoot within the limited lighting.

However these are not major flaws. I simply adore Hiroko Sato and I rank this as one of her finest DVD’s. Four point seven five is the score.
