The Skinny: when this was released last August, it marked the penultimate, or next to last, gravure release for Hitomi Tanaka who was to move on to JAV titles in the near future. In this video, she is paired with the not unattractive Yuri Himegami. As with most of the two model gravure videos we have seen, there will be a lot of hugging and snuggling, caresses, and foreplay; but absolutely no sex. I guess they were trying to show us how Hitomi appeals to both sexes, and how her imposing bust was a sexual magnet that no-one, of either sex, could ignore.
As the video opens we are shown alternate cuts featuring each of the models separately. It was kind of slow moving and did not generate much excitement. When we saw the solo Yuri, we were already hoping that Hitomi would return to the screen sooner rather than later.
Then they meet up in a lengthy scene that has each of then undress the other model and redress each other in blue and pink polka dot bikinis. This scene was badly edited as they used a semi-strobotic method to transition. They also employed as nearly all white background. And finally, the sound track was a horrible bit of musical composition which had a repetitive piano track and some trance-like music created by a synthesizer which were played separately then merged. Despite the lure of seeing Yuri handle Hitomi’s massive boobs, this was a hard scene to watch.
The next scene was equally lengthy. This time Yuri and Hitomi are first by the pool, then in the pool. On the other hand, the camera is positioned IN THE POOL throughout. This enables us to often see water drops on the screen as well as the often dis-orienting after effects of having the camera transition from both below and above the surface. The music was equally dismal in this segment.In addition, they spent far too much time having each of the girls, both singly and together shoot water guns at the camera dude who was in the pool throughout. He couldn’t get any more wet. It got boring. Very boring.
Ok. Time for a brief recap. We are just under 40 minutes into the DVD, and we’ve seen just two scenes plus the brief prologue. We’ve had two scenes with bad editing, lousy music, and each of which was at least twice as long as it should have been. And we’ve not heard in 40 minutes, not a single word or laughs from either model due to the musical (?) soundtrack.
Next we find the girls in bed. They begin wearing a slip over their bra and panties, but by the scene’s end neither is wearing anything. They cover themselves with lengthy bed sheets. This scene is only about 10 minutes and we are thankful for that. Again, the music is nothing more than an annoying distraction. At least we do see (albeit side view only) a bit more of Hitomi’s bosom. I guess this was to be a preamble to sex – but we leave them after just 10 minutes and nothing overtly sexual has happened other than Hitomi’s dangling boobs pressing against Yuri.
A doctor/nurse scene follows. Hitomi is the nurse who becomes the patient. Finally we have a scene to savor and enjoy. “Doctor” Yuri pokes and prods Hitomi’s huge bust, and doesn’t our lovely patient look ever so wonderful in her magnificent bra and panties. By the way, the music is an excerpt from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, so ‘everything’ worked in this scene. Hurrah!
The next scene is a maid and mistress scene. Maid Yuri spills a cup of tea, and stern Mistress Hitomi makes her pay. While she doesn’t suffer any physical abuses – Yuri has to absorb some cruel treatment of being poked and prodded by Hitomi who uses the mop handle. And as a final insult, Yuri is made to crawl around with the mop handle stuck beneath her panties. As she crawls it sticks out behind her as if it were her tail. Shameful and Shocking!
The last scene is a bathtub scene. Lots of boob to boob shots as well as crotch to crotch. Despite being a bathtub scene – surprise, surprise – there’s no water at all. Just the dripping gooey gel that we’ve seen in so many other gravure idol DVDs. While this scene wasn’t played for fun, it was erotic.
At this point, at 90 minutes, the main chapters end. The last 15 minutes are spent with behind-the-scenes and making-of segments. Finally we get to hear the girl’s voices. Finally there’s no intrusive bad music. Finally we get to hear some laughter.
Summary: Only in the credits which precede the making-of and behind-the-scenes segments, do we learn that the DVD was shot in Bali. In other words, they didn’t take advantage of any of the beautiful locations of the island. In fact, even the swimming pool was kind of tacky. So despite the overseas location, this DVD was shot on the cheap. All of the scenes lacked humor, and all of the scenes except the one with the Vivaldi music had horrid music. The first two scenes were far too long, and the jittery editing didn’t help either. I think the director was making it up as he went along. Or if he is really better than this, he mailed in his effort this time.
This video shows that despite the presence of a beautiful and busty model, there’s no guarantee that you will get a DVD that may be liked. In fact, even a die-hard Hitomi fans would have to say that this DVD was very disappointing. I’ll score it at just two point zero which is below average; and I’ll not recommend this one.
One last point. The cover states: The girl that style is good and very busty. Debut performed by Hitomi Tanaka and Yuri Himegami. While this isn’t very clear as to which reference is to which girl; maybe it is indication that this DVD was made before Hitomi Tanaka’s solo performances which were far better DVD’s. Maybe this was her debut video, but they held it back, knowing it was weak, and released it only after Hitomi’s successful solo releases. But that’s is just a guess on my part.
