The Skinny – One of the golden queens of the gravure world. It’s hard to believe that the big-busted but otherwise tiny Rio Natsume has been modeling for gravure fans since 2003. Her first DVD was the Pure Smile DVD from Takeshobo. It was released June 20th, 2003. That’s just about 5 full years ago. Guess what? She’s still got it. This one, entitled Muse is produced by E-Net Frontier on their Premium Sweets label, and it looks like one of her best.
After a high-energy montage, the DVD begins in earnest with Rio in a baby blue bikini. She’s posing for us down at the beach. You can see some impressive curves on Rio as well as some nice private boats anchored in the small bay.
My only complaint was that as the scene opened, the director and editor have chosen to employ jump cuts rather than fades or dissolves, so the transitions are kind of abrupt. That being said Rio treats us to some fine jiggling boobs-in-motion.
Scene two is set indoors. Rio looks ravishing in an alluring, see through, satin and lace rig. She’s in high heels and also wears some ‘smokin’ black stockings. The camera is active as is Rio. It’s fast paced and sexy to watch. Rio does a good job with the smoldering look which has been problematic for her in past DVD’s.
A short scene follows. Rio sports an orange and white striped bikini and a pink wig. I’m not sure what they were going for with the wig. Whatever the game plan was, no doubt it was a different look for Rio.
Though Rio has not been very good interacting with balls in her past DVD’s, she does okay with this huge beach ball. The scene was neither good nor bad. It wasn’t a high point nor was it a low point. So let’s move on.
Rio wears a colorful bikini in the next chapter. It begins out on the lawn of the resort with Rio scampering about. Before long she’s besides the pool. Off come the shorts and Rio makes for the pool. I’d hoped she would just jump in. Not happening; instead she carefully goes down the pool’s step ladder. The scene consists of Rio and the cameraman slightly splashing each other, Rio doing a lot of bouncing to create jiggle, and some straight posing in the pool.
The 5th Chapter finds Rio back indoors. She may be in her hotel room. She’s wearing a faux crocheted bikini. It just looks like crochet, but it’s really a machine produced design. I know this because of the many closeups of the bikini’s bra. Rio’s job is to please the viewers, show-off her imposing breasts, and coat herself with gobs and gobs of the familiar clear gooey gel.
Only she’s not in bath tub. First comes the gel which she applies herself. Then there’s water poured on her from a bottle. Then she spends a few moments slithering on the floor due to the excess gel which made the floor quite slippery.And there you are. Erotic in it’s way, and yet still ‘tasteful’ as opposed to crude.
Next Rio does a staple, or a commonly done set piece of the gravure model at a resort DVD – they position her on an out-of-way, seldom-used, stairway with a conveniently located window, where she can can flaunt her assets, and yet not be bothered by intrusive passers-by.
She removes her top to reveal a bold yellow bikini. The banister becomes a prop.
Then, in a blink of the eye, she’s back in a hotel room standing by a window, and her top is back on. So they continually jump between locales – the stairway, the bedroom window, before adding a third location – same outfit and this time Rio is in front of a mirror. Thematically it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but visually it works fine, as Rio’s big boobs are constantly in view.
Back on the beach is next. This is a two part Chapter. First Rio poses under a small tree right near the water’s edge. Then she walks out on this lengthy jetty. While Rio’s figure is great, throughout this entire scene they had Rio with a semi-pout. Not even a hint of smile.
And the editing for this scene was questionable. They’d begin in-close then slowly back up so we’d see more and more of Rio. Just when you thought the view was optimum; they’d cut to another view. Still, we were able to capture a good many sparkling shots from this chapter, as you can see above and below.
Rio works out in a gym next. She does a forward somersault away from us as the scene begins. Then she does a quick tour or sampling of some of the gym’s machines. She also tries some barbells, and three different sets of dumb-bells.
Somewhere in this scene we arrive at the 40 minute mark, and finally we hear something from Rio. What we hear are the sounds of someone straining to handle some weights in the gym. This is the first time in the whole DVD we’ve heard her at all. All the prior scenes had over-dubbed music and Rio remained speechless.
She doesn’t talk in the next scene either. It begins in the shadows which means that the first minute and a half were a waste of everyone’s time. Eventually Rio ends up on a woven hammock before she then appears in the swimming pool.
She doesn’t swim, so the camera movements flatter her, and the brief blue bikini is a stunner. All she does is her turn this way and that way – but somehow this pool segment works quite well for the viewer.
Next out fo the chute is Rio prancing, dancing, spinning, twirling, and jumping all while standing on her hotel room bed. Occasionally she’ll collapse onto the bed only to get up again. Yes, this is high energy, but it is difficult to watch, and even more difficult to capture an image that isn’t blurred due to all the action. As Rio is spinning, twirling, pirouetting, etc, the camera is also moving up and back, in and out. The result, Rio gets dizzy at times, and so do we.
How about Rio in a soapy bathtub? You got it! She begins with a floral slip over a red bikini. The tub is surrounded on three sides by windows, and is already filled to the brim. Rio glides in, and eventually removes the slip. Only all we see is a standing Rio lowering her shoulder strap; then the next thing we see is a submerged Rio taking the slip off the last remaining snag – her toes on one foot. The second major gaffe is when it looks like Rio us going to stand up. Our perspective is that her bust is just starting to emerge from the suds. Then zap! She’s standing. Maybe Rio had trouble standing or rising, and she broke into giggles. In any event, we didn’t get to see two key sequences of the scene. Isn’t this tail shot (below) very sweet?
At this point we are 55 minutes into the 1 hour DVD. We meet Rio who is reclining on an unusual settee. It looks like she’s wearing two bikinis – one over the other. As the outer bikini top is removed, leaving a pink one, Rio heads for the bed.
There she’ll do her best in a series of alluring poses. Ultimately she’ll remove the outer white bikini panties leaving just the pink one. Rio takes special care to show of her enticing butt in this chapter.
The credits roll next over a series of stills from the video. We find out that this is yet another DVD made at the JWB Resort in Cebu, in the Philippines. The hour has passed and we still have a slide show, and two bonus clips to look at.The slide show was better than most but still suffers from the usual problem of the pictures being too small.
The 1st of the bonus clips featured Rio engaged in conversations, mostly with the same woman, who remains off-screen, in the before or after many of the scenes from the DVD. You’ll recall that I mentioned that we hadn’t heard Rio speak in the DVD. She more than makes up for it in these clips. She’s dynamic and perky, and laughs or smiles easily.
The second bonus clip seems to be some sort of Rio Natsume signature sign off as I’ve seen it multiple times. She turns her backs to us, wiggles around as if she were using her body to spell out her name (maybe), followed by a double “V” signature. I’ve really no idea as to what this really means.
Summary: Nicely performed by Rio. She looks great; and her figure is just as trim and busty as ever. She’s got great presence, and there’s lot’s of eye contact. This DVD was well made and my only real problems were in the often too rapid cutting, or the fact of most all of the chapters were over-dubbed with music. We only got one brief segment of the natural sounds of the sea but this was only about 30 seconds. The director might have held his position longer after pulling back. It was as if they couldn’t leave the shot alone so we might appreciate it. They always felt inclined to move on to the next set up.
However these were not serious flaws. As such I will recommend this DVD and give it a score of four point two five out of five. English language Internet retailers are listed below.

Lemon-T and Milk-T have set the bar so high that it’s good to know that I can look forward to a new Rio DVD in that might be in that same ballpark. Can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on it
