The Skinny: Part of a dual release with Freedom, these DVD’s marked the first new releases of Rio Natsume material since December 2006 when the superb Lemon T and Milk T DVDs hit the shelves in Japan and were offered for sale on the Internet. Love Affair, and Freedom give both the viewers and the Producer, Line Communications, an opportunity to smile as these are very good productions, and will be quite successful on the sales charts.
A standard montage (Chapter One) begins this DVD, and they don’t miss the opportunity to highlight Rio’s impressive shape, as we get lots of closeups of her boobs. Chapter Two, called Pink Dream, has Rio in a gorgeous pink satin and lace bra with some pearl accessories. The panties have the same pink satin and lace with a wide black band. As the scene opens Rio is standing and wriggling around. She’s been placed in front of a curved multi-paneled glass room divider. She looks great but the scene lacks excitement.
Chapter Three begins with Rio asleep, then the phone rings. After talking briefly, she’ll get up and begin a workout. A pair of light dumb-bells, a rolling weight for stretching, and some other free weight implement called a BodyBlade are all utilized to show off Rio’s boobs in motion. They selected the perfect costume as this little bit of short nightie clings to Rio’s chest, and we are able to see how big and mobile, and how shapely those breasts really are.
Evidently the phone that rang twice in the prior chapter was supposed to be a boyfriend and a date was set. As Four begins, Rio arrives at ‘his/your’ apt. for the date. She will find the bedroom and after looking at his dinosaur models, then checking out his bookcase, she immediately strips off her tee-shirt and cut-off jeans. Rio is actively playing the seductress in this chapter, and I’m pretty sure her actions worked, as I was very impressed.
Chapter Five is called Black Sensation, and certainly this is an exciting title. Unfortunately, despite being a shower scene, Rio spends most of the scene facing us pressed against the glass. So you you don’t get a lot of activity, nor do you get a good view, because the camera is in too close. Easily, this is the single worst chapter in Love Affair. What they did was to have her undo the black bikini top. She then held it in place with her hands. Once they asked to her press against the glass, pinning the small triangular pieces of cloth which formed the bikini top against the glass. She then raised her hands from her boobs to raise her arms over her head. Bingo! Right, now she had to remain against the glass otherwise the top would fall off.
Chapter Six, called Green Wind, has Rio in a Cafe, She wears a lovely deeply cut print dress. A strategically placed fan will lift the skirt again and again, revealing Rio’s panties. That was part one. In part two they have her on this table to enable some excellent cleavage shots.
The next chapter has Rio in a leotard. She sits on a machine which vibrates, the works with a lengthy piece of a stretchable substance. Sort of a big rubber band. This was a perfect opportunity for us to likely see an imprint of a nipple poking against the leotard, but you can clearly see that circular coverings had been strategically placed to not conceal her nipples.
Eight is a bath tub scene. No music to be found – just some brief conversation from Rio. While she looks good, and exposes a healthy view of her boob from the side, the scene was slow moving and uninspiring.
Nine is after the bath. Rio enters the living room clad in just a towel. She will put on a white yukata which had a lovely pattern of red and black flowers. She will proceed to apply some body lotion. Since there’s nothing beneath the yukata (a Japanese bathrobe), the lotion is added but the robe never comes off.
Chapter 10 is called Gold Rush. Rio arrives from below in one of those old fashioned elevators – you know the kind. They have an open shaft, the elevator car is open at the top, and each floor has a steel gate. This time she’s wearing a gold lame bikini, and this scene has her in motion. Well done.
Eleven occurs in a hotel room. The consummation of the “love affair” so to speak. Rio wears a sexy bra and panties set. She will spend all but the opening of the scene on the bed with stark white sheets. Rio goes for the gusto in this one. We are to think this scene is what happens when a couple go to a hotel for a passionate event. That is too say, this is what she would do before foreplay begins.
Chapter 12 reveals the closing credits as Rio jogs through a park. This is the ONLY outdoors scene in the DVD. Her huge bust is seemingly not a hindrance to her jogging. The camera is right beside her, right behind her, or perched above her as she jogs, so the views are quite good.
They toss in a short making of and behind the scenes chapter. Nothing special other than Rio is much more lively and expressive than you might have thought. There’s also a preview of the companion DVD Freedom.
Summary: If you like Rio, you will enjoy the DVD. If this is your first Rio Natsume DVD you will like the DVD. I think it is pretty good, but not up to the quality of Freedom. They made a few mistakes in this one, and sort of painted themselves into a corner in a few scenes.
On the other hand, Rio is still a star of the first magnitude in the gravure world. Her bust is as amazing as ever, and to my eyes, it seems appreciably bigger. While Rio is improving, she still has a ways to go on being able to make us excited just by looking at us in a certain way. Yoko Matsugane is the undisputed ichiban (number one) in that area.
If you adore Rio, then for sure you should acquire this DVD, but if you only want to spring for one purchase, then make it Freedom rather than Love Affair. Three point seven five.
