The Skinny: The fabulous Mizuki Horii returns to Bali for another smashing DVD. This one is entitled Biiku. There’s a lot of excitement on screen when tiny Mizuki struts her stuff. The island of Bali requested some beautiful weather and the results are just wonderful to watch. While the Bali scenes are truly lovely, there are a few scenes shot in Japan, and we’ll discuss them later on in the review.

The DVD opens with Mizuki in a bed. Not just any bed. I am now positive that we’ve now been in this particular bedroom at least two times before this time.

First with Yoko Matsugane, then with Sayaka Matsumoto. As you can see from the images, there’s no doubt it is the same apartment. Either way, Mizuki looks grand.

A scenic Bali beach is where we next find Mizuki. I’d normally call this a typical Bali beach but we have been on this particular stretch of sand so often that I’m beginning to wonder if all the Japanese Gravure Idols and their respective production crews all stay at the same resort.

After Mizuki does her strutting on the strand, they get her into another bikini and she does some scintillating posing poolside. As I said, the weather was great. Just look at the rich blue of the sky.

In Mizuki’s last DVD in Bali, she posed as a Balinese policewoman. Her purpose was to cool off in someone’s car. This time she poses as a Japanese air hostess, aka stewardess. Only this time she strips down in a bedroom. They might have asked her to take off that striped scarf adorning her throat. It tended to be a distraction.

collage41.jpg

Not that I’d even infer that Mizuki Horii spends her timing hopping from one bed to another in real life, however in the next scene they once again have her in a bed. That’s three so far in this DVD. But it is a gem of a scene. She shows off her versatility in this chapter. First Mizuki looks hot, then she looks like a big-eyed gamin, and then she looks like a gravure idol.

Next we have Mizuki back on the beach posing under that all too familiar rock. We’ve been here lots of times too. Mind you, I’m not complaining. After all we get to see busty Mizuki in a brief and revealing bikini. Nothing wrong with that.

collage71.jpg

Mizuki as a Chinese girl from the 1930′s Shanghai is next. She wears the compulsory cheongsam dress; only she is so small that this dress is a tad too big. It is supposed to be tight with no qualifiers. This fits her as in not tight, or not tight at all. Soon she will climb out of it to reveal a very skimpy bikini that fails to cover the bottoms of her breasts. In case you were wondering, we’ve scene that staircase before as well. Yoko Matsugane, Hina Kawaii, even Mizuki herself have shown off acres of flesh on these very same stairs.

In the next scene, they unveil a gimmick of editing I’ve not scene before in a gravure video. Here’s Mizuki with a remote.

miz00041.jpg

And here’s the monitor she’s looking at. You can see (not well) that a woman in a white dress is emerging to walk down the path with the large stones. The camera will zoom in toward the image on the TV, and eventually we merge right into the image, and it Mizuki on the path herself. Pretty cool!

mizcom1.jpg

Somehow this path leads to a Japanese country house. Mizuki will need to get down on the floor, and rest.

collage9.jpg

Then another Japan-based scene – Mizuki in a fancy kimono. Once again she will disrobe, and again lay down on the floor. It is the same location as the previous scene. But she looks good….

collage10.jpg

collage111.jpg

Then a bath scene. Mizuki is wearing some sort of a robe in the tub. When we join her she is already in the tub and wet. So instead of a bath, we watch Mizuki take off the robe to show off her figure in a bikini.

collage12.jpg

Fade out.

collage13.jpg

This is the end of the main chapters and we get about a wonderful making of/behind the scenes segment. As usual, I enjoy these as the models are relaxed as this is down time, or between sets. Usually you’ll see stuff that didn’t get into the main chapter. And as usual, you find that if you like the model – this adds to your attraction.

collage14.jpg

Summary – a very decent DVD. No real flaws other than if I can ID the sets and the locations again and again, they need to scout out some newer places. The charming Mizuki Horii will likely charm you in this production. I am pleased to award this DVD a very good four point two five score.

I love Mizuki and rank her in my top 5 Idols but this DVD failed to make my blood boil. Maybe that is because I’ve been spoiled by Mizuki’s other DVDs that are even better…

Once again John Rambo, thanks for stopping by and offering your perspective.

I think that the more DVDs we watch of a specific model, the greater the likelihood that we will be less enthusiastic. We have see her before, and in this case on the same beach, at the same resort – the ‘new and exciting’ factor becomes seen that and done that.

    Thanks for your readership.

It’s possible the rocky beach in the video was Dreamland beach, that reside at southern part of Bali. The road to it is the same road you take to Uluwatu temple. Dreamland is a relatively empty beach in comparison of to Seminyak, but it’s quite packed with a few groups of wild foreigners.

Anyway. The resort don’t look like it was a resort, it’s more likely a rental villa that was regulary rented by the production house. It’s more likely that it too was near Dreamland beach.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for reading my columns.

You are correct sir about the beach. It is Dreamland Beach, and if one would google Dreamland Beach for images, that distinctive and easily recognizable rocky headland jutting seaward, usually in the distance in these beach scenes, is in fact in the photos for Dreamland Beach.

In the scenes at the villa, the sign on a wall usually reads Villa Jatayu,, which I did find on the net. It is inland, at Canggu not a beach front property. And yes, the production houses are regular clients at this villa. Here’s the URL to the website:
    http://www.islandconcepts.com/villas/vcg010/index.php?vid=vcg010. Rents for US $450 a day.

Personally, I’ve stayed in beachfront hotels at Kerobokan, Legian, Nusa Dua, and Tanjung Benoa – never at Dreamland and I’ve sailed to Lembongan. Bali is very picturesque.
