September Song

Do you know those wonderful lyrics to the September Song written by Kurt Weill with lyrics by Maxwell Anderson in 1938.
Well, it’s a long, long time
From May to December
But the days grow short
When you reach September…
The authors are not just talking about the Autumnal Equinox coming in a few weeks, when the hours and minutes of daylight exactly match the hours and minutes of darkness. No sir, they are speaking about the seasonal change when the summer delights end, and then we return from holidays and go back to our work-a-day worlds. They are asking us to think of the aging process, of how each of us will have fewer and fewer days left to spend with those we love. And, they are softly and gently reminding us not to waste even a single moment of the allotment given to each of us.

When the Fog Rolls In

Holding The Family Together
Imagine you and the family are going to close the beach house for the season. But before the fog rolls in, you take that last walk along the beach, before heading back to your city apartment. You’ll try to absorb every last moment of enjoyment of this idyllic time at the ocean’s shore like in Fathers Day (below-top) and Shoreline (below-bottom).

Or think of saying your last goodbyes to your summer friends who you might meet in the morning, at low tide, when the air is still cool from the night just ended, because tomorrow morning you’ll be at the office.
Daughter of A Great Romance
Your family will also have their own memories, separate from yours, and they’ll find a way to enhance those memories. You’ll watch your daughter draw a heart in the sand (above), or take a last lingering look at the mountain hideaway surrounded by Nature’s Beauty (below) as the cool lake water invigorates her heart, for tomorrow morning you will watch her get on a school bus.
Later, in a different place, you might be waiting at a silent rail station, alone, in a fine September drizzle, as you wait to board the train to take you back to your university; to your reality, and the beginning of a future yet to be decided.

Leaving in the Rain
These wonderful stirring images are the works of American artist Steve Hanks. Hanks has said, “I am touched by the beauty of a pensive moment, a fraction of a lifetime.”

Time With Dad

Time With Mom
His works reflect moments in time, with great attention to detail, that generate a powerful emotional resonance for the viewer, who will interconnect these moments to his own realities.

Hold On To Your Dream
And isn’t that exactly why these paintings work so wonderfully? These fractional moments of life are celebrations that we can look at, and be reminded of our own moments, that occurred for only a brief luxurious instant, and yet, became memories that will last a lifetime.

Treasures on the Shore
Speaking of memories that last a lifetime, sometime they walk by you on the street in the form of a gorgeous woman with a spectacular body. To commemorate this coming Autumn, when the remaining days of the coat free season grow short, Also on Video wants you to have a look at some spectacular bodies, not only ‘coat free’, but almost free of all their clothing entirely. Stop by our pages often and have a look at some masterful portraits of some very special women because here, we are coat-free year round.
