Aqua House – Best Idols
The Skinny: The summit meeting after Akari and Yuna Matsuda each performed in solo DVDs for Aqua House. This is top flight gravure material from relative newcomers that is marred only by a few annoying directorial excesses, and count them – three separate scenes where the girls are tied up with ropes.
Lest you get the completely wrong idea – Akari and Yuna suffered no beatings or abuses. In fact, in one of the scenes they were able to walk around on the beach despite being roped, as it were. This is extremely light bondage and nothing else happened to mar these beauties.
And that’s why I liked the DVD. These are primo busty beach babes, and there’s plenty of jiggle, and acres on cleavage on view. The ropes were mere annoyances for me. Had there been anything even slightly more intense or any kind of pain exhibited, I wouldn’t have reviewed these.
Throughout the main chapters the girls didn’t speak at all. They went through their paces effectively and efficiently to garner a good many oohs and aaahs from me. In the 10 minutes plus making of segment there was plenty of dialogs between the girls. This gives you an opportunity to hear them speak and get a measure of their personalities.
They do the beach, and and there’s plenty of posing elsewhere at the resort. There was a shower scene but they did it with a number of still photos spread out forming the background and smaller box centered amid the photos with the live action. I thought this was a completely wrong concept. And we didn’t see a hint of a pool like we did in the solos.
But otherwise the DVD was fine to watch. More than fine. If you want to see a pair of busty beauties cavorting in nothing but bikinis or less for an hour this is a good place to start.
The Score is four point zero due to the ropes. This is a Region 2 Disc. You will need a Regio2 or an All Region player to watch this DVD.

Y’know, I’m still wary. I have never been really happy with any multiple idol DVDs – the last few I’ve seen have resulted in a sound “meh”. Despite the overall impressive bust lines involved (over 2m according to the packaging) and Yuna’s cute face, I think I’ll let this one stew for a bit ’til I can find it in the discount bin.
One thing that strikes me is the paint-over-the-nipples thing – is this a single scene or multiple instances? These are always a mixed bag… they can be very successful and sexy like a lot of Oda Arisa’s stuff, or actually quite boring like the few DVDs I’ve seen of Kawase Yuna. It seems to be there are two main approaches by directors: one you have more of a slow build and attention to showmanship – sort of building to the unveiling and milking the tension, the other the model immediately gets as close to naked as possible as soon as possible then basically the scene goes no where. Talk about climaxing too early.

Hi Z – I didn’t notice any paint-over-the-nipples. What I saw was some sort of badly done applique – more like a few pieces of colored tape, or plain tape painted over. The tape would be applied like 4 strips criss-crossed to form a star.
About Yuna Kawase – isn’t it interesting that she doesn’t get any offers from the more successful gravure production houses like Takeshobo, E-Frontier, Line Communications, TBS, or even Layfull’s Eight line, etc.
I have never watched a Yuna Kawase DVD that I have given superior ratings to. They always come in as middling to below average. I truly believe I’d MUCH prefer to see her in a bikini than one of those standard scenes that she does with the spinning propeller pasties. Or some such gimmick.
On the other hand, Yuna Matsuda and Akari did put out three credible DVDs. Sure they have some flaws – but I find each of these models to be wonderful eye candy.
