The Skinny - THis is my first review under a 2.0 in some time (if not ever). Yuna Kawase is a cute girl, with big boobs, a sweet face, and a shapely figure. But this is mostly an unwatchable DVD. The sole sections of the DVD that you will remember are the two Making of segments; Chapters 9 and 10 which are displayed in the collages below.
Yuna really needs a new agent. If her current Artist Management team doesn’t get her hired out to Takeshobo, Air Control, Vega Factory, or one of the other prominent bikini idol (gravure) production houses, her career as gravure model is going to wither, or possibly grind to a halt.
This is her second time working with Ken Sato, the auteur of this video. His idea of making a Gravure Model DVD is unlike any gravure plan you’d ever think of. See if any of these scenes which did appear in the DVD have any appeal for you:
A) Pose the model in front of a seamless background. Set up your lighting to allow shadows. Then with your own hands create the shadows of a hand caressing the model’s tush. Mind you, reals hands aren’t touching her - but the shadows of that hand are.
B) Let the model make her own shadow puppets.
C) Let the model stack boxes against a wall, so you can have your camera look under her skirt as she bends.
D) Instead of the viewer using his fast forward button - every so often, the producer pushes the footage by you at high speeds ala fast forward.
E) Sit the model in a chair - and spend more than five minutes shooting footage of her while she just sits.
F) Ignore continuity completely. We watch the model take off her top twice. Each time we are behind her, and it is the same footage each time.
This DVD has so little worthy of praise. Yuna does look endearing at times and you do wish this DVD had turned out better. She really does model in the Making of Segments. And why not? She is a model isn’t she? But it’s like the entire DVD has been turned inside out. 10 Chapters. The only ones to watch are the Making of Chapters. The main Chapters 1-8 are a waste of your time and money. I could go on. But I won’t. Save your money. This DVD will garner a Must To Avoid.
