Sometimes the direction or tenor of a DVD is suggested by the very first set of images, if not the very first image itself. Try this one -
Superb isn’t it? That’s actually the second shot we see of Nonami Takizawa in the brilliant DVD entitled Anata To… from Line Communications’ I-One Series. Although just released in mid-December, this one will rank amongst the best gravure videos released for the entire year of 2006.

How about another cleavage shot?
I got my first look at Ms Takizawa in the very fine DVD Mitsumete which was released in late 2004. I liked her enough to try her again, so I ordered her Pure Smile DVD. This one was her 1st and was released way back in early 2003 which means it was shot in late 2002.
It is now 4 years later and Nonami has filled out (not ‘somewhat’ but actually ‘plenty’) and has become supremely confident in her looks and ability to charm the audience. In Pure Smile, she was thinner, and the script of Pure Smile required her to crinkle up her nose and smile far more often than necessary, so it seemed forced. I didn’t much care for Pure Smile.
But now I am completely won over.
Despite my pictorial lead-in of three magnificent cleavage shots this DVD is much more than that. After the opening montage, we find Nonami on a beach. There’s not a lot of info on screen to determine where this beach is – but we can live without that. Nonami cheerfully scampers about, and we, the audience are rewarded, as her red bikini looks great with the sea as background in most of the shots.
Scene 2 is what I like to call the flora scene. In fact, the director’s gambit of shooting Nonami, who wears a brown knit bikini, through leaves of various trees or bushes becomes a wee bit distracting after a while. However the model remains fairly stationary, and we get a good look at her.
The third scene finds Nonami in a pink bikini with a rocky waterfall forming the background. The music is gentle and the camera movements are languid to match the model’s actions. Since she is partially submerged in the grotto, and is unable to move about – the scene works fine.
A intriguing bandeau topped bikini is Nonami’s next costume. And once again, she’s wet. This is the fourth scene and of these four, this is the 3rd one involving water. Methinks the water came from some sort of a water gun, as this was shot on the balcony of her hotel room, and it wasn’t raining. Still this scene was marvelous in showing off her body.
In fact they liked the outfit so much that she’s still wearing it in the next scene which was shot in a bathtub. This time the falling water is from a showerhead, and the overall effect is that they are going for slow movement and high sensuality. Once again, Nonami’s massive bust is accentuated.
The obligatory bedroom scene follows. Nonami wears a short nightgown. She’s playful, teasing, and seductive in this scene. Her nightgown is quite sexy and barely covers her sumptuous bust.
The next scene is the one that I didn’t much appreciate. Nonami wears a one piece that is backless, sideless, and the neckline plunges to below the navel. Certainly this is a sexy outfit, but because it is so revealing, Nonami’s movements are restricted. Plus the scene was shot in a bright sun. Call me crazy, but I wasn’t enamored by this scene.
However I really loved the next two scenes. First Nonami wears a very flimsy, and lightweight bikini. The scene has multiple parts and we see parts on the beach, as well as with a tiled flooring near the beach. The background varies from seashore to trees.
The second has a hyper active Nonami playing on small and rocky beach. She wears a very unusual top which shows off her great breasts. In fact, you will be asking yourself, how do her boobs not fall out of the top.
This scene is followed by another high energy beach scene. Nonami wears a revealing bikini beneath a see through top which she ultimately removes. This time we do see a bit more of the surrounding beach and shore line. At this point I still have no idea where we are. Maybe the credits will reveal the location, or quite possibly there will be an interview and I’ll have the location from that.
There follows an unusual and unexpected change of pace. 1st – it is an indoor scene, 2nd Nonami wears a wig, and 3rd she is in a bed in black bra and panties set. The bed is near a window that has bars. Her attitude is something of a mystery, and slowly she undoes her bra. She keeps her hands covering her bosom, and then almost before you realize what is going on – her clothes are back on and she is almost lips to lips with her mirrored image.
Next is a music video styled sequence – in fact it may be a music video. Although we don’t see Nonami singing, this may be her voice. Its just that this sequence is surely edited as a music video. And this closes the main part of the video.
There’s a short (4 plus minutes) of behind the scenes where Nonami talks to us. Most of these are closeups and can be linked to specific scenes. But if you don’t speak Japanese these sequences won’t have much impact for you. And to literally end the DVD, we get a series of autographed polaroid photos.

I thought this was a stunning effort. They gave us a bit of everything that I normally want to see in a bikini gravure idol DVD. Nonami Takizawa has a great figure; and there’s no better word to describe her than voluptuous. The action was varied, and the music was original, and if not quite memorable, it was at least fitting for the scenes. There were two minor directorial choices that failed. One was the overuse of leafy overlays in the flora scene, and in another scene, there were too many too close facial closeups.

I must agree with my colleague and friend Zatoichi (his site is now closed) and give this DVD a high score with an unrestricted, no reservations at all recommendation. Four point seven five is the score.

Ah… and you say we disagree about everything! Minor quibbling aside: an absolutely stunning woman in an absolutely brilliant idol disc. Just a minor note – the final track on the disc is definately Nonami singing.
I’ll be seeing Nonami-chan tomorrow at one of her promotional stops in Ôsaka tomorrow (to promote Anata To…), so hopefully I’ll be able to get a bunch of good pictures of our goddess.
