This review was originally published in July at the Gravure Idol Jo website www.gijo.org/. It features the wonderful Hitomi Kitamura. Likely, by the time you read this, her 5th DVD will be leaping off the shelves in shops all over Japan.

While we wait for that one, this one is entitled Hatachi no Hitomi. I’ve no idea what that means, but so what? Hitomi came into the world of the gravure models last year. Her freshman effort, Yurero Omoi, was a fair-to-middling effort. The director seemed to recognize that he had a world class bosom in his viewfinder, but it seemed as if he did everything he could to show as little of Hitomi’s chest as possible.

Her second effort, let’s call it her sophomore DVD, was the delightful Melon Chan. This one was well received, and we were all encouraged, hence avid to see her next one entitled, First Kiss. Sadly, it was pathetic. Hitomi rarely smiled and about a quarter of the DVD was taken up by Hitomi play acting with a toy stuffed panda. Ho hum!

This is her 4th video and is an unqualified success, if not an outright blockbuster. Here, every effort is made, short of unleashing her boobs in full topless-ness, to make the viewers aware that this lady has a major league bosom. They have a standard opening montage of shots culled from the rest of the video. Virtually every idol video opens with a montage, so there’s not a real sense of surprise as the scenes unfold because you’ve already been teased, pumped, and primed via the montage technique. I’d like to see something new for the opening.

Hitomi has never been more active, more ebullient, more bouncy and effervescent than she is in Hatachi. She’s oozing personality out of every pore. She knows you are stunned by her vast breasts, but she’s still working ever so hard to get you to adore her for her spirit and personality. She reminds me of a younger Rio Natsume, who was always trying hard in her early DVDs to win your affection. Hitomi has also learned a few things about the modeling game from the works of Miri Hanai. Wardrobe styles and revealing the bottoms of her breasts whenever possible seems to be a page direct from Miri Hanai.

After the opening montage, Hitomi is seen wearing a very tight green tee-shirt over her pink striped bikini. This is a scene shot in a public park, and occasionally you’ll see some disinterested people.

Next Hitomi playfully recreates some swimming strokes while in bed. She’s decked out in a bright red athletic jersey which has been cropped down to next to nothing. I’d swear that they TAPED the jersey to Hitomi’s tits so you can see most of her bust. Don’t expect to see a hint of an erect nipple. It’s just not there. She does do three somersaults in bed, which means she’s a game young lady.

Then we have her on the beach, the coral outcroppings make for a magnificent backdrop to her tight two piece green bikini.

An interview follows – and she’s quite peppy and lively even though she speaking without a script.

This is followed by a very cute Hitomi prancing around in workman’s coveralls. She’s not wearing anything like a tee-shirt or even a bra beneath. Every once in a while a large section of her breast will seem to be struggling to pop into view on the side. Very nice…and a great piece of music is matched up with this scene. This is another scene that will remind you of Rio Natsume.

Back to the interview: Roll 2 according to the clapper board. This precedes a stunning Hitomi in an all white one-piece bathing suit. You know the kind – no back, cut high on the hips, cut low in front; you almost say – why wear it – you’re nearly naked with it!

Another episode follows in the park with Hitomi in the park trying to swing on a rope, and have fun with some other park apparatus. Check her out in the clinging terry-cloth dress and NO bra – lots of bouncing here. You can’t help but see the exact shape of her boobs in this scene, again and again.

More of the interview is next. Hitomi herself tells us this is Part 3 as she works the clapper board. She’s very expressive and she uses her hands to punctuate her words and to add emphasis. Scrub-a-dub-dub is next as Hitomi works out with a battalion of soapy bubbles; very cute.

Hitomi is up for rolling around in bed next. She wears a deeply cut v-necked sweater and red polka dot panties. Once again – very cute!

A Making of set follows next. Ho Hum. Been there, seen it before. Then a sexy turn in a red slip or is it a dress – you can’t tell. It is shot in a building under construction. We get multiple views of Hitomi flashing her soft light blue panties at us. No bra either.

Back to the beach and the coral – this time in a rich dark blue one piece suit with white trim; kind of a disappointing scene. The suit fit her like a second skin, but she hasn’t any energy in this scene. It closes the DVD proper, but then they tag on nearly another half-hour of making of segments.

Hitomi is a great model. She’s got a great personality, and great breasts. She’s on her way to stardom. You can’t miss with this DVD. Four point two five out of five my score.
